I was starting to think about this, and I believe it would be rather anticlimactic if she was killed, and would definitely cause an interesting reaction.
Squirrel Girl
Character » Squirrel Girl appears in 489 issues.
A hero with squirrel-like abilities and features, Squirrel Girl is not always taken seriously, but she has nonetheless defeated many of the Marvel universe's greatest villains. She is a longtime member of the Great Lakes Avengers, and briefly served as a nanny for Luke Cage and Jessica Jones.
Should she be killed?
I don't think of it as PIS. It is ridiculous that she's beaten Dr. Doom and such but you can't take Squirrel Girl seriously? She's a joke character put in to make sure we don't take all this stuff too seriously. She's perfect as Luke and Jessica's nanny because she won't take too much focus from the New Avengers and her PIS is perfect to keep the baby safe.@jhazzroucher said:
No way. She's the only female character that i really, really like outside x-men, within marvel
I always found that if she died it would just be so against all that PIS she gained, especially if someone really unsuspecting killed her.
Ummm, characters who I think serve no purpose, not who I just don't like, that I should die would be;@FadeToBlackBolt said:

(Marvel only)
- Norman Osborn
- Namor
- Red She-Hulk
- Red Hulk
- the new Hellfire Club
- Luke Cage
- Jessica Jones

I think it just gets a bit too ridiculous and her death would bring up the fact that it was all a joke character, and that it wasn't meant to be actually serious.
@HBKTimHBK:
1) No. She is literally the only character in Marvel outside of the X-Men that I like. She's the only character I actually buy comics for.
2) No, She's kind of a rising star in marvel. She's like...the "good guy" version of Deadpool.
3) No, she's now in a position where she won't be stealing the spotlight so much, because she's no longer going around doing heroics, she's babysitting.
4) No, because she's under the protection of the Avengers. All of them.

This is the only reason that I think could use elaboration. Jean Grey was under the protection of the Phoenix Force, she died plenty. Jason Todd was under the protection of Batman, he was killed. Protection from the Avengers does not guarantee life.
@HBKTimHBK:
Well, that's just a bad comparison. Jean Grey is known for dying at the drop of a hat, and Squirrel Girl is known for being able to effortlessly conquer ANY enemy.
And Jason Todd was Jason Todd, lol. A terrible character nobody liked so people actually called in to get rid of him.
As for the protection..again, Phoenix Force is entirely destructive (including self-destructive)
Batman's sidekicks always get captured, maimed or killed.
The Avengers though..jebus, did you SEE Daredevil ALONE come in there and just straight up ANNIHILATE Nazi warmachines to save her? Between Squirrel Girl's "beat anyone" power and the actual avengers, I think she's safe.
Suggesting killing the legitimate Herald Of Santa Claus during the holidays?
I know one Grinch that's not getting any roast beast this year.
- If they are going to actually try to make a real character out of her and shove all the PIS and joke of a history into the background, keep her around and see what you can do with her. If it does not work out, worst case she can always be sent back to limbo.
- If they really intend to have her around for more of the silly, insane feats, then please kill her and not make the other characters looks like chumps for nothing. Very few people want to see her defeat a resurrected Sentry unless it was out of spite.
- Any character created before 1990 has likely had to have their origin or history altered to some extent due to some terrible writing. I blame all the drugs the writers were doing back in the 60's and 70's.

- Luke Cage is not a very good character IMO and many feel he has been handed a lot of screen time ahead of more deserving characters.
- Bendis has went out of his way to take what was an obscure character from the 70's and force him down the readers throats to be relevant instead of taking the slow route.

Pretty good until Squirrel Girl was mentioned. :P:P *thinks up list of horrible ways for her to die*

This (Don't agree with the rest, I think they just need better writers)
But Squirrel Girl is awesome, she shouldn't die!
She won't be killed that easily because she is my wife lol sorry haters she is not going to die, she is OP in her own way, you don't usually find someone like her type who can rape Thanos other than other being with superior powers
@hbktimhbk: she deserves to die like rip van winkle. She is a non fan character Mary Sue type character and she has no point of being alive.
No. They should give her a complete her transformation. Having a squirrel tail, a tooth thing, knuckle claws, and wearing squirrel ears just isn't cutting it for me anymore. Make her a true squirrel-girl or send her back to comic book limbo.
She's very popular right now as her ongoing solo is selling just fine and won an Eisner. :)
So she deserves to live. :)
