Last year's mini-series SPIDER-MEN, written by Brian Michael Bendis and drawn by Sara Pichelli, was one of the best things to come out of Marvel comics in 2012. It was the first time we saw the 616 universe and the Ultimate universe cross-over, as Peter Parker is dragged into the Ultimate universe while fighting Mysterio and has to deal with the new Spider-Man and the impact his Ultimate counter-part had on that universe.

Many loved this series, and while it worked great on it's own as a singular story, there are lots of fans who are clamoring for more. These fans may be getting what they want as Brian Michael Bendis answered this fan's question on his twitter page.

As of right now, all we know is that there will be a Spider-Men sequel, and there's no other information as of yet. What could happen in this next series though? Is it time for Miles Morales to make his way over to the 616 universe? Will Peter end up, once again, in the Ultimate universe? There are tons of possibilities for this upcoming mini-series and as long as Bendis is writing it, and it remains just a singular book that doesn't bleed over into other series, it will be worth the read. The original series was more than just a solid book. It was an incredibly emotional read and had a great balance of story and action.

What if the idea of Spider-Men is bigger than the two of these characters? As crazy as it may sound, the idea of Spider-Men from other universes inside of Marvel, like Miguel O'Hara, seems like a very intriguing idea. Maybe I'm just a sucker for the 2099 era of Marvel comics, but the thought of all three of these character together seems really cool, especially since Dan Slottrecently announced Spider-Man 2099 would make his way into the 616 universe soon.

Would Bendis write 616 Spidey as being Doc Ock/Peter Parker or not? If he doesn't, that means the whole story happens out of continuity. Doesn't it?

Yes, that will be cool, but only if 616 Spider Man is Peter Parker, not the "Superior" Dock Ock.

If it's not Peter then it should be 2099 not that I'm fond of the character. I just not into Doc Ock meeting Miles.

I'm in agreement with a lot of you guys. I want this to be Peter and not Spider-Ock (I know a few of you hate that I call him that).

It'd be cool to see how the Superior Spider-Man interacts with alternate versions of Spidey.

Ugh am I the only one not taken in by this news? Not a fan of Miles or Bendis' writing of him so it's always a miss from me. Though this might explain Miguel's teased appearance in the current timeline.

Hell yes!! Maybe they can do something like Shattered Dimensions that would be very cool. But also instead of going to the ultimate universe make Miles go to the 616 universe. And if they do the same of going from 616 to Ultimate universe then I really want an Ultimate Spiderwoman part where she meets 616 Peter Parker/Ock that would be interesting and more if they use Ghost Peter Parker.

Talking out of topic I´d really like Peter´s ghost to have possessing powers. That could be interesting.

The Spider-men books were so much fun. I wonder what the mix will be, and maybe we will meet 616 Miles.

After that cliffhanger from the first mini series I am glad to see that they are making a sequel to Spider-men

im excited but i like how the first spidermen ended , peter looks up miles in his world and is shocked (i personally wanted miles dead in 616 as peter is dead in ultimate) hopefully this would be done right , can't wait

Peter and Mary Jane from the Ultimate universe never interacted.

Awesome!!!! I love Spider-Men, it be a crime if they didn't do a sequel, especially after that ending. Man I love the Spider-Men story, I am Super Excited to hear this.

Oh man, even though Ultimate Spider-Man is one of my favorite books, I wasn't a huge fan of Spider-Men. But if this became a three Spider-Man team-up between Peter (or Otto), Miles, and Miguel, I would be very excited. Also want more info on that 616 cliffhanger.

Those Spider-Men were Amazing and Ultimate in name online. They're not canon and in fact there's nothing about the Ultimate Spider-Man besides his name that even hints that he came form the Ultimate Universe. They just wanted to be able to use black suit Spidey and had to say he came from somewhere else, basically.

I am excited! I want an Ultimates/Avengers cross over!! Or an Ultimate X-Men/X-Men cross over where the main X-Men find out half of them are dead in the Ultimate universe lol

this news made me go reread Spider-men and after reading it again I have to say that it is just as good the second time around....I had tears in my eyes all over again during issues 3 and 4

I really feel like that if there was one single character that Bendis absolutely gets then it would be Spider-man and I think he should take over writing the 616 book after Slott is done
