Yes I know, Spider-Man and clones *shivers* but that's not what I'm talking about, Spider-Man, Superman and Batman are the three most popular superheroes created and Supes and Bats have many rip offs and homages all across comicdom, some that are even pretty popular yet Spider-Man doesn't seem to have any. Is there a reason for this or have I just not noticed them?

Spider-man is too specific of a character to be rip-offed

There may be some clones but yeah.

Well there are a few it's just that Spider-Man feels so unique that's hard to really duplicate most of his traits without going too far from the "inspired by" territory.

Its mainly because Spider-man's powers are so unique that you can't really get away with making a clone. Superman's powers (sorry Superman fans) are quite generic and its his personality that makes him who he is not his powers. While the same can be said for Peter Parker his powers are also synonymous with his character to put it bluntly there isn't really a way to create a character inspired by Spider-man that won't be considered a rip off. Where as you can with Superman and Batman as Superman's powers are generic and Batman is a very rich smart guy. Short story is its pretty much impossible to create a Spider-clone in other media different enough to be considered its own character and not infringe copyright.

This is pretty much the easiest question to ask when you look at the amount of Superman clones/rip-offs/homages...

He bounces from wall to wall and the solicit doesn't try to remind us of a certain someone?

Jasper Jenkins is a super-head AND a super-hero! He's relatable AND reliable and he's embarking on the adventure of a lifetime!

That Haunt by McFarlane is a Spider-Man clone in terms of design.
