I've been wondering about this for a while now, why is Spider-man permitted to hurt and kill people under unjust circumstances? I believe that fact that he is allowed to operate as a vigilante without being persecuted is because he's an Avenger, but in Superior Spider-man issues 5 and 6, Spider-man commits two inappropriate acts under certain circumstances. How does he get away with this? Is it just because Jameson likes him?

Have you read issue 7? Because they address that specific issue.
