The Lizard was the first who shall be next personnally i think it will be Morbius the Living Vampire

going down the gene splicing road and of course Norman Osborn

as one of those manipulative background kind of guy

Still hoping for Mysterio.

I think the general public would see Morbius as Spider-Man vs Dracula. Too soon after the Twilight stank.

@Savage_Hawkman: I think that maybe playing off the current love for vampires may make it a bigger hit. Especially since many people are familiar with Morbius through the 90s show. It's probably too soon, but I think the black suit would suit the darker tone that a Morbius movie would allow.

I just had a conversation with my friend and I was thinking that it would be cool if Marvel and Sony got together and worked things out to the point where the Avengers and Spider-man could be in a shared universe....then the second villain could be Mysterio and have him use illusions of the Avengers against Spider-man....so that way the Avengers aren't actually in the movie but they acknowledge that they do exist in the same universe

I'd like to see either Mysterio or Electro. Although Rhino would be awesome as well.

The Jackal. As then you can have multiple villains (without the usual problems, that causes), along with setting up potential spin-offs. Have (Ultimate) Scorpion (for fun, have his tail be based on Doc Ock's technology), (Ultimate) Tarantula and Spidercide appear as minor villains, for Peter to fight, while trying to figure out who's cloned him. And feature Kaine (in case, they'd wanna do a Scarlet Spider spin-off) and (Ultimate) Spider-Woman. They could even introduce the Venom symbiote as a side-project by Warren, using Peter's DNA combined with an alien substance found in a meteor (the symboite breaks free and part of a minor subplot, comes into contact with Flash, bonds with him towards the end, post-credit scene shows us him as Venom and then you can do the Venom spin-off).

Id like for the next film too be Osborn just for the simple fact that they have mentioned him and you need him for the Death of Gwen Stacey but in future films id like them to do Morbius, Rhino or Mysterio. Only hope they dont decide to put more than one villain in each film unless ones Lizard as a cameo

I thought Connors was having a delusion. He was scratching the scales reappearing on his neck when the figure appeared. The figure had a black glove on his left hand while his right hand, the same hand Connors is missing didn't. Which seemed symbolic of the hand which grows back when Connors is the Lizard. The figure asked him the same question Osborns man did about Peter and his father, as if playing on Connors guilt for not telling Peter what he knew about his parents death. When Connors raised his voice the figure disappeared. I think it's just letting the audience know the Lizard isn't gone.

Yeah, when I first saw that scene my immediate thought was it was just Connors's split personality acting up. I didn't think about it being someone else until you guys started discussing it.

Can Sony pictures even get the rights to use new Spiderman villains? I thought that ship sailed when Marvel opened Marvel Studios.

I dont know how good they would be as MAIN villains, but ive been hoping for Rhino and/or Scorpion to make an appearance.

If the Green Goblin doesn't make an appearance at all, the franchise is a waste.
