#1 Posted by fury714 (625 posts) - - Show Bio

John Romita Sr. still for me :D

#2 Posted by SavageDragon (2257 posts) - - Show Bio

For me it will always be McFarlane because of the back issues of his run that I would love to read when I was younger.

#3 Posted by Shark_Repellent_Bat_Spray (764 posts) - - Show Bio

Always Steve Ditko.

Bagley. Always Bagley.

John Romita Jr. is my second.

I really like Terry Dodson's Spider-man, as well.

@Phaedrusgr: Thanks for the recommendations. :)

But my fav is defiantly Campbell and McFarlane. Something about there style witch is very similar attracts me. I also really love Bagley and Stegman. Cory Hamscher is really good.

I know I might get strung up for this, but i really think Ramos' style works really well with Spiderman particularly when he is on books that have a lighter tone.

#17 Posted by PunyParker (14953 posts) - - Show Bio

@MSzekeresh: Yep....you are gonna get strung on that......

#18 Posted by Teerack (9606 posts) - - Show Bio

I loved Joe Madureira's Spider-man, and just his art in general.

Nobody likes Caselli?....c'mon the guy's a underrated genious!

And i am very surpised that not many people said JRjr...

#34 Posted by spider11211 (1189 posts) - - Show Bio

Ramos would be near the bottom of my list.

#35 Posted by Baberaham_Lincoln (949 posts) - - Show Bio

Ramos' exaggerated style is what i love about his art!!!! it doesn't fit on any other book, but only spiderman imo since peter parker is goofy as well. So the art compliments spidey's character... In superior however, i've grown to love Stegman's art as well... his spiderman is freaking dark and edgy (kinda what slott was going for with Spock i guess?)...

#36 Posted by spider11211 (1189 posts) - - Show Bio

@baberaham_lincoln: You have a good point I could not see his style working for other books.

@punyparker: I love Caselli. I really can't choose between Caselli, Deodato Jr., Romita Jr., Erik Larson, and Todd McFarlane. This is strictly the character Spider-Man. As far as their all-around skills Caselli, and Deodato are amazing. Deodato's run in Thunderbolts was jaw dropping to me. McFarlane's art is incredible, but his maskless faces are too cartoony. Larson can be great, when he takes his time (look no further than ASM #350), but he rushes too often. Also, his women tend to have ridiculous proportions.

Currently, Olivier Coipel for me. His art is simply gorgeous.

David Marquez is pretty awesome as well.

#40 Edited by Contreras1991 (18 posts) - - Show Bio

Todd Mcfarlane

Mark Bagley (Good Spiderman and Spider girl version xD)

Erik Larsen

#41 Posted by TheHeaven_Guardian10 (989 posts) - - Show Bio
