Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider as a teenager, granting him spider-like powers. After the death of his Uncle Ben, which he could have prevented, Peter learned that "with great power, comes great responsibility." Swearing to always protect the innocent from harm, Peter Parker became the Amazing Spider-Man!

Who could replace Toby Maguire as Spider-man?

Of all the fine actors on this planet, who could replace Toby Maguire in his role as Spider-man? Elijah Wood? Daniel Redcliffe? Shia Labeouf?

I think I would make an awesome Peter Parker...w00t I'm the same weight, height, eye color, hair color, I prolly even have the same prescription glasses he does. lol I was already trained to be a pro-wrestler, and I loves me some spidey comics. Mwhahah Go me!

I think I would, I mean i just so happen to be the same age, height, weight, and eye color as him. And I also just so happened to be named Peter Parker, and I also just happen to be a nerd and have recently been bit by a radioactive spider, what a coincidence.

but seriously, only one person has posted an actual actor, the rest of you are just saying that you could replace toby maguire! wouldn't that be nice though... i'd say to the director "i think spider-man 4 is due for a sex scene with mary jane!"

Ummm How bout Jake Gyllenhaal, I think he could pull it off. He has a similar look to McGuire anyhow, so it wouldn't be to odd for the eyes to accept.

No i can't see it, not after the celebrity death match episode where these two dudes fought it out. Jake won eventually and the referee rightfully said "You killed Spiderman damn you."
I was thinking Matt Damon would make a good Spiderman when Parker reaches his mid twenties anyway.

Ha ha, just kidding. Toby has done such a good job with the role that I'm actually having a hard time picturing Peter Parker as anyone besides him.

I'd say Elijah Wood. Only person on the planet who can replace Tobey. As long as he doesn't use that British Accent from LOTR, my votes for Elijah Wood. Definately.
