When Spider-Man is Peter Parker again, do you want him to continue in Superior Spider-Man or revert to Amazing Spider-Man?

I'm curious.

When Peter returns, he won't be the same, that's for certain. Otherwise, all this happened in vain. Nevertheless, I could deal with both options. I could also see him being Amazing, but keeping some gadgets or something like that. To be honest, I don't know if the title Superior could be used by Peter, who's such a modest guy.

I'm sure it'll go back to Amazing once the movie is about to be released.

I hope he's Amazing, and @Dark_Guyver 's point about the upcoming movie makes it seem way more likely.

He might keep up some of the observation things I've seen in some scans but the killing will stop.

I predict Peter will, having seen how much better Otto was a Spider-Man with the gadgets, will devote himself more to furthering his scientific advances.

Though how he'll do that once Max fires him from Horizon and the Avengers kick him out due to Otto's antics is anybody's guess.

So I'm betting he'll be a Superior Spider-man, but will return to the Amazing title.

@Phaedrusgr: I think he will be essentially the same. And by the same, I mean the old Parker with the Parker luck. No decent job, no good place to live, the loner. Even though with Dr. Strange/Mephisto removing the memories of the unmasking, more heroes now know who he is than the first 20-30 years of printing history. So, with Parker back down on his luck and the heroes (presumably) know of SpOck, he won''t have many people he can turn to who'll trust him.

So, it'll be the Amazing Spider-Man with all the problems and angst we've known through most of his history.

This isn't exactly solid evidence but when I was talking to Dan Slott about future villains at LSCC, he referred to it as Amazing Spider-Man instead of Superior. So either there are already plans to go back to Amazing or he just called it that mistakenly.

Nothing solid but I thought it worth mentioning.

I feel that in the end of the current arc, or whenever Peter gets control of his body back, his new form compared to what Doc Oc did as Spider-Man, Peter would be considered the "Superior Spider-Man". I don't know how Slott is planning it, but that is all I can see as it ending as; bringing Peter back and having a sort of play on titles as it were.

I'm going to remain in denial for as long as possible about Peter coming back, but I suppose it's inevitable. It would be nice to have Amazing and Superior have two separate books.

Do a split personality thing first between Pete and Ock, let them split their individual actions between Amazing and Superior, then bring Pete back in full force no more Spock or whatever they call him , end the Superior title and back to Amazing .Pete is back in full force .

Yeah..... if it's one one of the many things I'm not thrilled about is that Ock has been trashing the reputation Peter has built with the Avengers!!!!

Stuff like that is the same ole regression that will get stale over and over again. The Peter Parker luck is popular by the writers who could relate their childhood experiences with him growing up. I think that this is the reason why Marvel is so afraid to make Peter mature.

Ok, he's a ghost, cause Marvel wanted to use a gimmick to bring back comic book fans and attract neophytes, while demolishing Pete's development, reducing him to the "good", ol'Pete, that has no job, no super hero allies, no future. That's what I think SpOck's been doing, cause that's what Quesada and the rest think keeps Peter more relatable. If you ask me, they're so wrong, but who am I? I'M BATMAN!

@Phaedrusgr: Darn. I should have know you are Batman. How you taking recent events with Robin? You know what, I really think Avenging is supposed to be SpOck's main book. Superior seems to be from Peter's perspective of things. I mean SpOck's evil nature has been more predominate in Avenging minus the whole massacre thing.

But in all seriousness it is time for Peter to return. It's not the same without him. Not just anyone can be Spider-man they tried that with Ben, look how that worked out. I understand Miles because its an alternate reality and they made Peter go there and approve of him to show Miles is a true successor to the Spider-man name.

@Ninjablade09: Apart from some very special cases and what if stories, I never got the meaning of giving the mantle etc. For me, Peter Parker is Spiderman and vice versa. SpOck was a gimmick, that is very clear now, but the whole thing was poorly executed. Alas, the concept was poor too. I know many fans liked it and keep enjoying it, nevertheless, it has nothing more to contribute to the Spiderman Saga. SpOck will demolish everything and that's pretty much all.

@Phaedrusgr: Ya I know, when Superior was first announce I was all exited because the cove looked cool and the costume was awesome. I was sad Amazing was over, but I figured by the time the movie comes around it would return with 701. But now we have this and its not really as cool as I thought it would be granted it has moment and I do like the darker tone of issue 4 and 5 but it doesn't scream out THIS WAS A GREAT IDEA, to me. As you said fans can enjoy and keep enjoying.
