not that I'm complaining, but it came outta left field for me
this happened in the avenger books?
Spider-Man
Character » Spider-Man appears in 17246 issues.
Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider as a teenager, granting him spider-like powers. After the death of his Uncle Ben, Peter learned that "with great power, comes great responsibility." Swearing to always protect the innocent from harm, Peter Parker became Spider-Man.
when did this whole Spider-Man/Ms. Marvel thing happen?
Yes, he's been crushing, and apparently she likes him. It'll never happen, though. Probably just some twisted kind of fan service that Bendis enjoys writing.
It started in Ms. Marvel #34, when Carol was having a problem with her powers Spidey swooped in and saved her and he asked her for a date as payback, which she agreed. Since then they have been flirting off and on, but I doubt anything is going to come of it. Especially since Carol doesn't have a title now.
Maybe..... They Join the same team in NEW AVENGERS #1 coming in June. As someone who fully condones this relationship, I am keeping my fingers crossed.
I hope something comes out of it just because I think it was cute and interesting. I mean in their world, Ms. Marvel is one of the more popular super heroes while Spider-Man is sort of a joke. She has dated losers before and I kind of think she is like why not? If anything the flirting banter back and forth is just fun to read.
" @jasmine cole said:Yes seriously... Never been a fan of Spidey, but that's kind of sad" OMD? "... wow. Seriously?
"
" Easy...anyway the whole Ms Marvel and Spidey thing will go nowhere. "I hope so...
