Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider as a teenager, granting him spider-like powers. After the death of his Uncle Ben, Peter learned that "with great power, comes great responsibility." Swearing to always protect the innocent from harm, Peter Parker became Spider-Man.
The Night Gwen Stacy Died is probably up there, but I liked Kraven's Last Hunt and Maximum Carnage a lot. Currently, I am reading the Spider-Verse saga and it's just okay.
I loved when he was 'the other' spiderman. he got a serious upgrade. he had a real job, and a hot model wife. too bad marvel wanted to revert him back to that lovable loser crap.
I recently started collecting comics again. I'm trying to play catch up with ASM. Any suggestions on which TPB I should look for or good story arch's I should check out? Is there any collection of books that have issue #1-700? The last ASM issue I purchased was # 608. I just started up again with the new ASM series including Renew Your Vows. I am aware of the events from #700. Any help would be appreciated, thanks
@christianrapper: I also liked The Other, and I especially liked Back In Black as we got to see Peter actually use those powers at his full potential (I don't feel as though he used them that much in Civil War.
