Spider-Man is the flagship character for Marvel, with his franchise everywhere and in anything, but in games you can get what you get, but what is your favorite Spider-Man game? But what about the bad game? Two Best Friends Play can handle that!

Spider-Man for PS1. The sequel, Enter Electro, was great too. The gameplay was fun and nifty and Spider-Man's animations were awesome. They also made him really funny; I think that game contains some of the best Spidey one-liners ever.

Nowadays it's all about Arkham City, but back in circa 2001, Spidey was king on the Playstation.

Spider-Man 2. There has never been a Spidey game to top it.

Fingers crossed for The Amazing Spider-Man, though. It looks great.

    Web of shadows,

    Free Roam,

They had their own story to go with,

    Choices affected the game somewhat,

Switch between Symbiote and classic suit and the combos changed, you could change suits mid-combo and make some really baass combo chains,

Character roster was cool, plus seeing symbiotes corrupt so many charactes

    It was dark,

And you could choose to kill/save people and choose your alignment based on the symbiote,

WALL COMBAT, ARIAL COMBAT, ALL COMBAT.

I think UltimateSM tops SM2, cause Spiderman 2 the best SM game only because it was the 1st free roam Spidey game....of cource it was epic but Ultimate is Spiderman 2 but better!

A comic book idea, you can play as Venom,GREAT level development, you can play as Pete,Unlockables (comics like the PS1 versions), alternate costumes(something that will be in the upcoming ASM game(!!)......Ultimate Spider-Man=An improved Spiderman 2!

The "Big 3" for me are: Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, and Spider-Man: Edge of Time(story is better than Shattered Dimensions...thus why I chose it other Shattered Dimensions)

Actually really like all of them but as a kid my favorite and most fond is the Spider-man arcade game because it allowed me to play as Namor and even hawkeye.

It's probably nostalgia but the first Spider-Man for PS1 is my favorite with Ultimate Spider-Man (PC) being a close second :p

Agreed, I remember playing both of those games when I was a kid and enjoying them every time. Plus seeing Doc Ock and Carnage fused was something that I always thought was awesome.

I also really enjoyed Ultimate Spider-Man, that game was fun and being able to play as Venom and terrorize New York never gets old. xD

Yeah, from what I remember it played right along with the comics, taking place sometime after Venom's first appearance or something I think. Also, it had Carnage in the game before he actually appeared in the Ultimate Universe, but how Carnage appears in the game and how they bring him into the comics are both very different.

    1.Spider-Man 2

    2.Spider-Man Web of Shadows

    3.Ultimate Spider-Man

I'm really looking forward to the new game. It's looking real good judging by gameplay and previews.
