    I know that there already is a huge story arc about the character Venom. BUT: Has venom (as a poison) ever been used as an additional spider-power?

    Miguel O'Hara (Spider-man 2099) has a venomous bite.

    Mile Morales (Ultimate Spider-man) has a venomous touch.

    Kaine (Current 616 Scarlet Spider) has venomous stingers that come from his wrists.

    Peter Parker (616 Spider-man) also had the same stingers as Kaine during the "Other" arc.

    Jessica Drew (Spider-woman) has venom blasts although they are more like bio-electricity than actual venom.

    So yes venom has been used quite a lot :).
