On his journey to become the Ultimate Hero, Peter Parker has handled tough challenges. From learning to team up with fellow Super Heroes (including The Avengers!), to fighting baddies from across the Marvel Universe, to remembering to pick up groceries for Aunt May, Spidey thought he had things all webbed up. Now in Season 2, his world's been turned upside down as his teammates become roommates, and they're left to face foes without the help of S.H.I.E.L.D. But when iconic Marvel villains like The Lizard, Kraven, Electro, the Rhino and Doc Ock team up to take on the young heroes, it's time for Spidey to discover the "great responsibility" of being a leader. Catch the one-hour SPECIAL PRIME TIME PREMIERE of Ultimate Spider-Man Season 2, January 21 at 7p/6c on Disney XD. And keep up with the team every Sunday at 11a/10c inside Marvel Universe.

'Ultimate Spider-Man' Season 2 Clip
I actually forgot about this show coming out until literally last week when I heard someone talking about it. They said a lot of people weren't happy about it, but that it was getting a second season. Curious, I decided to check it out and watched the two episodes they have on the Disney website.
Gotta say, I really like it. Sure, it's more comedy than previous Spidey shows, but I don't mind that and I found the comedy quite amusing. I've also heard people say he's too much like Deadpool, but I think they're looking at it backwards. Spidey was the jokester of the Marvel Universe long before Wade showed up. If anything, Wade is copying early Spidey more than the other way 'round.
The only thing they added was the fourth wall breaking stuff. And even then, that was She-Hulk's schtick long before Deadpool started using it.
This show could and should be better... but it found it's footing a bit in the 2nd half of the first season. I'm looking forward to the introduction of actual Spider-Man villains this season, which could make the show much much better. I like the hero team ups, but I still don't like the team they complied for him to work with. In all seriousness, they should have gone with Iceman and Firestar to round out the team. And then, even though Shield factors heavily into the show, they need WAY more solo Spidey stories. Also, make Jameson an actual character, not just a talking head in the background from time to time. Finally, please introduce the Fantastic Four. The Human Torch is one of Spider-Man's best supporting characters (if you can call him that) but there has never, to my knowledge, been a Spider-Man or FF cartoon that plays this up to any degree.
I didn't mind the second to last episode, Peter/Osbourn chemistry was alright. I liked how ruthless Peter was as he beat the crap out of Goby
This show is a massive disapointment considering how amazing 'Spectacular Spider-Man' was shaping up to be. They've officially made Spidey portrayed by two pretty boys now. Andrew Garfield and Drake Bell... *shudders
I came up with this story idea where Dr. Connors was forced to work for the Kingpin (blackmail) with a treatment to keep him from turning into a lizard monster, but he was stuck between. I designed him to have lizard eyes and a lizard arm. Just like they designed him for that one scene in the show.
