    I was pretty bummed a while ago when they cancelled Spectacular Spider-Man. Especially since the ratings for that show were higher than those of the original cartoon from the 90's. 

    I was at first skeptical about an adaptation of Ultimate and then Paul Dini and Bendis were announced as lead writers. 
    I love Dini's work (except Countdown), he's undoubtedly the best man for the job, hey maybe he'll get to do more Marvel properties in the future.

    I'm just hoping to god that they use the 616 goblin instead of the god awful ultimate goblin

    That trailer from WonderCon looked pretty awesome. Hopefully it'll be as good as Spectacular Spider-Man.

    I know. It sucks. I was really invested in both the MTV Series and Spectacular Spider-Man, and them being cancelled before they could resolve the cliffhangers ticked me off on every level.

    Even Wolverine and the X-Men, which was just OK, was cancelled too early. Damn Marvel can't commit >_>

    At least Wolverine and the X-Men had a decent end point, sure we'll never get the Age of Apocalypse but yeah.
    90's Spider-man. Cliffhanger. Going off thru time and space looking for Mary Jane.
    Spider-Man Unlimited. Cliffhanger. Symbiote invasion and Spidey is still stuck on the alternate Earth.
    MTV series. Cliffhanger. The psychic twins get away and Spidey gives up.
    Spectacular Spider-Man. Mother. F*cking. Cliff. Hanger. Spidey loses Gwen. Norman gets away to Aruba. Harry is dick.

    although I love Ultimate spidey I hate Ulti Goblin as well. Yea I'm looking forward to it but really isnt any need for it because they should have just kept SS going

    I can't wait for it. It's going to be so good, although I agree it has big shoes to fill coming after Spectacular Spider-Man.

    @ngroove: Only time will tell if it can fill the shoes of Spectacular, but with Paul Dini's track record and Bendis being on board it seems like the show is in good hands.
