Honorable mentions of course to go the likes of;... well, every big name Spider-Man enemy you can think of.

@k4tzm4n: Really, though, I never expected you'd include characters like Chance over some other classics.

@Morpheus_: I adore the likes of Lizard, Mysterio and even Vulture, but I'm a sucker for cheesy and obscure D-listers from the 90s.

I personally find Doc Ock, Kraven, and Vulture the most interesting of Spiderman's villains.

My favourite of course is Eddie Brock.

@Morpheus_: I thought one member of the Kravinoff family would suffice. Otherwise, Vladimir would be on the list, too. Aly? Not so much. At his best he was just a clone of his father, and at his worst he was crazy fool.

@k4tzm4n: I actually found Aly to be quite a bit different in most of his appearances, with Vlad being the rip-off. Aly was only unrecognisable in Black Panther and his Grim Hunt/Gauntlet appearances, but he otherwise had a very distinct personality.

@Morpheus_: His personality changed from writer to writer, imho. First he was striving to be like his father (as was Vlad), then he wanted to be a hollywood star, then he went crazy from potions and wanted to capture every animal themed villain around LOL. While I agree Vladimir's personality wasn't very inspired, I appreciated his dedication and focus to live up to his father's name and the "updated" take on Sergei's style (in regards to an arsenal).

I can't say I liked his high-tech approach. It makes sense for a hunter to have cutting edge tech but they seemed to be trying a little too hard to make him cool. I otherwise agree his dedication and fate was inspired, albeit not nearly as well executed, but the entire era of Spider-Man comics was not a kind one for the line.

When I think of Aly, I have the Hollywood star personality in mind.

Yeah, I just feel like he's never really had an iconic storyline to justify him so high on my list—even Electro broke the inmates out of the Raft—but I've always liked him. He was just a safe cracker who figured out a way to quickly crack safes and needed a fancy uniform to protect himself. He just fell into supervillainy. I find that so interesting.

top twenty? I'll accept that challenge:
