It seems that Spider-Man just can't catch a break, can he? Just when he thinks that the threat to his life and the people of New York City is over, someone else starts up with him again. We recently posted two teasers for the upcoming Spider-Man story arc Ends of the Earth here and here, and today we are pleased to present you with the third. While the first two teasers talked about a threat to Peter and to his city, the third is all about Peter's self sacrifice. It also looks like Peter may be strapping on some brand new gear to take on his adversary in the upcoming story arc?

@wowylied: Try back at issue 647. Its when Slott took over the book. I started there after a large gap between issues. Ive been on it since. trades have been collected since that issue up to Spider Island now. The first trade (Big Time) is #648 - #651, the second trade (Matters of Life and Death) is #652 - #657, the third (The Fantastic Spider-Man) is #658 - #662. the fourth (Return of Anti-Venom) is #663 - #665, plus some extra material. Then comes Spider Island which includes {#666 - #673, plus the infested backups in issues 658-662, and Venom #6 - #8} Hope this helps

From the teaser, it looks like the suit is a modified version of the future Spider-Man suit in Amazing Spider-Man #500.

@wowylied: I would suggest you jump at the beginning of Dan Slott's run on issue #648. Of course, if you can find the trades or back issues of the series it would be better to start back on issue #590, which is where I jumped in.

Other good jumping on points are issues #600 (Aunt May's wedding), #634 (Grim Hunt, an awesome Kraven the Hunter must-read story), #642 (Set up for Big Time) or #666 (Spider-Island)

@HotSauceCommittee: theres a point one issue(679.1) coming out on the 15th of this month, or if you want to go backwards then like everyone has said spider island (666) is great.

Oh shucks, what I nice man he is. I just can't enough Peter in my life.

I know Marvel (editorial) abandoned doing anything new when they killed Spider-man, but he magically came back to life. Twice, I think. But would it have been so hard to give Slott or one of those other BND writers a big idea like everyone in the world finding out Spider-man was and doing it as an actual story with a good plot that doesn't involved just Aunt May getting sick. Could they have just leave that for writers today.

Doc Ock looks awful, too, btw.

With the exception of Spider-Island, I have hated every second of Dan Slott on Spider-Man which is a shame as he is my favorite character. I wish they would let Waid, Aaron or even Bendis or Fraction take over.

Also enough with the new suits, it is like Slott has a complex about Spidey not being as cool as Iron Man or Batman.

New spider suit!? YES! Spidey and Irons are always interesting to me because they tend to change suits and have interesting variants.

Despite the costume not being entirely visible, what is visible looks cool.

I can't wait for this event, Spider-Man events are the best events Marvel is doing right now. I really hope this event doesn't put Peter back with MJ, he needs more time for dating other people. Also, I hope Ben Reilly comes back soon.
