The story arc had a lot of high lights to me. First it re-ignited my interest in spider-man and Peter Parker. I was getting pretty annoyed with the whole avenger, and future foundation, destiny's child membership while juggling a personal life and a solo career as a costumed hero. This story arc seemed to balance it all into perspective. I loved the subtle involvement of Maryjane because while she was a contributing factor as to why Spider-man was becoming boring to me. I liked how Julia took to her role as madame web. Psychic abilities suit her well. I loved that Kaine was back and in a big way. Not to keen on him taking on a full time heroic persona, but I would love to see him come out like a wolverine or blade or Riddick type of role. Would love to read a mini series with him.

My number one high light for the story would be that Kaine's back.

Yeah they killed off Human Torch because Chris Evans was now Captain America lol. But in a serious note, having kaine back is pretty awesome. One of the highs for me was the Peter-MJ moments. I was never a fan of carlie >_

I actually think Flash-Venom's move to prominence is my favorite part of the whole thing. There was a lot to love in that story arc though.

I agree, some very big moments from SPider-Island that I enjoyed. The return of a Scarlett Spider, was hoping for Ben, but Kaine will work, the split of Pete & Carlie, thank goodness, could not stand Carlie at all, and finally the emergence of Flash Thompson as Venom, it really drove the character home for me. While I prefer my venom to be Eddie Brock I think Flash is going to be a close second, definitely better than that chump Mac Gargan (I never did like scorpion). One thing that I would think would be really cool is for Eddie Brock to return as a prominent role in the Spidey books. He was a big part of Spider-Island, and with the Anti-Venom suit gone were left with what's next for Eddie Brock. And I really hope what's next for him is becoming the next host for the Carnage symbiote. I think that would be awesome! With the Carnage USA mini coming up, I think it would be great for the Avengers to stop Cassidy and separate him from the Carnage symbiote, only for it to pick Eddie Brock as his next host. That would be awesome.

I actually think the best thing was Eddie Brock's sacrifice, curing people from the virus, but losing his powers. It really showed that he has evolved from being Venom. Even though the break up was excellent, it pales in comparison to Eddie Brock.

I'd agree that Venom's move to prominence (especially as a Venom rube).

Worst moment: Eddie Brock giving up his identity as Anti-Venom, and exhausting his symbiote to create the vaccine. Although with the abundance of times that a symbiote has spawned, I wouldn't be surprised if he retains a new spider-esque identity a year from now.
