The commercial is cool, I'll agree. But what's with being with so over dramatic? It's freaking Spider-Man.

Why is blackcat a playable character in this game? Other than the fact that it is trying too hard to be like Arkham City and Arkham Asylum.

@sethysquare: Who can blame them? They're amazing games. And you've got to admit, the trailer's pretty cool. I'm just a bit worried about the gameplay, the fighting looks to quick and unrealistic to me

@sethysquare: Spider-man 3 & friend or foe had playable characters way before those batman games, so please get off that high horse.

@sethysquare: What part of that trailer got you thinking Black Cat was a playable character? Maybe I haven't read that news somewhere but the Black Cat parts just looked like in-game cutscenes rather than actually controlling the character.

@luke_kerridge: Yeah but you have to consider that Batman and Spider-Man are two completely different characters. For one, Spider-Man has superhuman strength, speed, and agility. So he's going to fight and move faster than Batman can anyways. Plus, Batman's style of combat is more brutal in terms of locks, breaks, and precise strikes. Spider-Man's a lot more fluid and situation dependent. So the two aren't going to look the same at all nor should they. If Spider-Man's combat mechanics and animations were the same as Batman's than the game would be crap because it wouldn't be true to the character.

I don't think it's going to be an amazing spiderman game, maybe just an okay one.

@Death Certificate: that wasnt the only part. Just look at the gameplay at e3. It was a direct copy of rocksteady's arkham asylum. The developers themselves said that they loved the batman games and this game would be similar to that in a way that its a whole nyc to explore and complete tasks like in the batman games. Go read up more young man.

@ltbrd: Ive been keeping up with the game and its scenes from e3. Trailers are always misleading, so u need to look at the gameplay (remember how awesome avengers game trailer was until the gameplay was shown). For this game it actually improved from the previous two. But they changed the concept such that it seems like a lamer version of arkham asylum

@sethysquare: You do realise that the dodging and countering have been around since spider-man 2 & 3 right. Not to mention that arkham asylum gameplay was a direct rip off the assassin's creed gameplay style.

okay this is Marvels attempt to be AA or AC and yes its great all the unlockable characters but this is a movie game so it may suck  

@Death Certificate who cares about who copied who? Assassin's Creed was awesome, the Arkham Games are awesome, and I'm sure if this game plays in anyway like those two, it will be awesome. I don't give a crap who copied who, I just want a fun game where I can play characters that I love. It does no good to argue who copied who, you aren't getting any sponsorship money from the creators in doing so, it's all just supposed to be fun. I'm tired of people who try not to have fun.

I'd play this if I would only upgrade my console...I'm years behind I'm afraid :/

I'm on the fence with this, it looks cool with the whole open world concept, but since Edge of Time in which Beenox ruined what they'd done with Shattered dimensions, my faith in them has wavered. We'll see if I can resist.
