After seeing this week issues of the Spider-Verse, I got to say, it all now seems a huge waste of time.

Nothing actually changed. Not really.

Peter's (616) still the same. Kaine may or may not be dead. Silk learned a few things. And Jessica Drew quit the Avengers. But other than that... Nothing!

But I might be missing something, so feel free to add your input.

Well, he was impaled in the head by one of his arms, while he was in his spider form.

And he seemed quite dead during the ritual, but has we all well known in the Spider-Man universe being dead is rarely a permanent thing. And to Kaine it may present itself has a blessing in disguise, seeing that maybe only The Other dies and Kaine is released from it's power.
