For those who don't know what it is:

the classic Peter Parker will team up with the likes of Scarlet Spider, Iron Spider, Ultimate Spider-Man Miles Morales, symbiote Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099 Miguel O'Hara, and the Amazing Bag-Man, among many others. In case you were wondering, Spider-Ham will also be a part of the story, so put in your pre-order now. The story will kick-off in Amazing Spider-Man #9 and cross over into some other comics.

    Thanks to IGN

Is this going to be a big hit for the new comics, or will the story be too confusing with the overload of universes?

Wonder if Spider-Prime falls under the 'can't legally use' bit.

Full control, but the payment to the old owners can be tricky to figure.

If Marvel is unwilling to pay the original owners for Malibu Comics, why don't they just sell the company to someone else? I never liked the idea that Marvel got their hands on Malibu Comics as I felt that they do contribute anything to their bottom line. Just like Angela, of which Neil Gaiman fought so hard to get back from McFarlane, only to sell the character to Marvel? I am sure that Neil Gaiman will regret his decision to sell his creation to a company that will eventually put her in limbo when the time comes.

They actually wanted part of their studio, for a new technique they had invented.

Also, at that time, Ultraforce had its own cartoon, Nightman had a live action (and a Manimal Crossover epidose!) Nightman was the main character they tried to save, but they really should have just ponied up a little extra cash for full rights so they can use them. (And we can see a Prime/ Shazam! crossover)
