I'm disapointed with the new Movie Suit, it looks tacky and un true to the comics, it's not to my liking, i prefer the old movie suit

If they wanted a realistic suit, they could have used Spider-man NOIR's suit.

I don't mind it. It still doesn't look like something a high school student made though.

As long as the acting is the best Marvel can do and the story is true to the comics, I'm good with the suit. Heck, Captain America's suit doesn't even look like his suit in the comics and yet.....IT'S AWESOME! :D

@comicdude23: Personally I think since Red Skull and HYDRA are the villains in the first movie, the second would have Winter Soldier as the villain, who's under the control of  the Red Skull (or his daughter depending on how they explain how Red Skull not aging) and HYDRA in the present day, which leads to Steve saving his one time partner, and then in the third film, some how having Bucky become Captain America. Honestly I don't see them being able to pull off storyline's like Death of Captain America, Trial of Captain America, or Reborn. But I do hope they use Bucky in future films.

I like the reboot suit more because the webbing is dark and a part of the costume like it is in the comics, as opposed to Tobey's suit where the silvery webbing looks glued on after the fact. That said, we haven't seen all of the new suit yet (I can't wait to see the mask for instance) and what we can see is torn and dirtied.

That always did annoy me a bit, and I agree with you that I like the webbing being a part of the suit.

I like the new one so much better because it has darker coloring unlike the one Tobey Maguire costume which was so bright and he looked really fat in it. I think Andrew Garfield looks like Peter Parker more than Tobey Maguire did.

I have a set of long-johns with a texture similar to the suit in the new Spider-Man movie.  Maybe they just spray-painted a pair of those?

I'm not disappointed in the new costume.I think they downgraded the quality to try and make the costume look more realistic.Spider-Man's costume is extremely elaborate...I don't give a damn how good you can sew, there is no way that you make a costume like that by yourself with no type of training or anything. It's nonsense.

I like it. It reminds me of the House of M suit. Similar, yet different to the original.

This. The reboot suit looks way more realistic and natural. Spider-Man's got a classic look, that's a fact, but not every look is perfectly translatable to the silver screen. And we indeed still haven't seen the full, untarnished suit yet. He's obviously been in a fight. Plus if this thing has webshooters, instead of organic webbing, that'd be a huge plus.

The reboot suit looks unfinished to me. Like Peter  wants to do more but can't for now. It could look good, but for now I prefer Tobey's suit.
