The only time I have ever found Ock cool was Spiderman 2
he relates to him because he's a pudgy evil villain.
@crash_recovery: The only good thing that came from that era is Kaine (despite the fact I have an inexplicable thing for Reilly). Why would Marvel want to "replicate" that clone saga mess? What does Ock offer in the spider legacy? I can't see the bigger picture, honestly. For me that was a complete waste of time. Furthermore, Marvel disrespected its own flag ( SSM #9). I don't know why Slott thought of this as a good idea. It's a gimmick. I dropped it a few rounds earlier. It was so boring for my taste, I couldn't stand it. Thank the Universe, I still have Scarlet Spider. It's my mainstream comic book sunshine at the time being.
he doesnt actually like doc ock that much silly
No he loves him
AT the salt lake comic con we got to ask Stan lee questions about the whole spiderman mess, and he said just wait things will return to normal. now that is coming from Stan the man lee himself, people!!!! i for one cant wait and i got his autograph also.!!!!!!!! so if its coming from himself then what does it matter what others say. he was the coolest man to meet!
@daves2013: Well, of course, Pete will return. Nobody thought this travesty could hold for ever. We miss him though.
@daves2013: That is because Stan is the man!
I'll never understand the hate fans have for The Clone Saga...the simple fact is it was the last time anyone bothered to ever try and grow Spider-Man as a character by teasing fatherhood, giving him a different, more compelling replacement in Ben, gave us great new characters like Scrier, and by stripping Peter of his Aunt May, it forced the Peter Pan aspects of this franchise to subside and enabled Peter to become a man at last. The best thing about the saga besides Kaine is that it gave us twelve years of Spider-Girl, which is far as I'm concerned, is actually the REAL continuation/ending to the Spider-Man story (or at least one of the more LOGICAL Spider-Man continuations/endings)

@zarius I think the clone saga hate comes because it collapsed over it's own weight. It was stretched by the marketing apartment to go on for five years. JMS while a mixed bag did however try to make Peter's life progress before OMD which was an editorial mandate.
