@dernman: While Felicia was in a relationship with guys who were her type like Flash and Puma respectively, they were no different from Peter Parker, either. And if you get to read the Marvel Knights stories with Spider-Man and Black Cat, she clearly stated to Peter that the fact that she was in love with Spider-Man and not him was childish act on her part and regrets it to this day. During the BND era, the opportunity to resolve this matter once and for all. It was a missed opportunity to see them reunite and give the relationship a second chance whereby Peter and Felicia are dating in a normal setting and organically developing it over a long period of time.

I don't think it's going to change much until the Kingpin returns, which I suspect will be sometime next year. All Slott's doing is explaining her new current status which might be tied to her Bad Luck powers.

Newspaper Strip MJ the last few days has proven how awesome she can be as a character if Marvel lets writers treat her with dignity. Peter tries to get Black Widow to babysit her, and she'd much rather help her husband track down his enemies

Mark Waid should have kept Black Cat as a supporting cast member in Daredevil's world. This way, Slott might not have tried to make her into a generic version of Crime Boss Catwoman. I think that Felicia will continue to hate Spider-Man until she's in a situation where she'll have no choice to work with him. Although, I think that the Felicia worked better when she knew that Spider-Man was Peter Parker, which was the reason why she became an anti-hero in the first place.

Spider-Man was somebody whom she toyed with. But it was Peter Parker who made her learn to trust men once again.

People have explained to you several times now why what you say is absolute crap. That the loves of Peter's lives have shaped and strengthened his character, the likes of DeFalco and Slott even went and showed us how his care for his family and children enhanced him as a man devoted to his great responsibilities and forged himself into a finer hero with their respective alternate futures. The daily strip showed how capable and equal MJ can be as a life partner. Time and time again you have been given examples, and time and time again you choose to ignore people's points and counter-arguments in favour of this same tired and pointless topic no matter how deflated and defeated it has become. You do it for attention and nothing else at this point.

Clam up and actually go on a date, become a husband, become a father, and gain some much-needed appreciation and perspective for the world's greatest superhero juggling his life with the greatest of responsibilities..

It's jarring how you call me out, you forget these are fictional characters made to be entertainment properties to sell, they aren't real people. And really MJ is a hindrance with no real long lasting value to Spider-Man's stories or adventures, all the PIS and plot armor can't endear her to me like say aunt May. MJ is the endgame. Always will be in one medium or another. She is the most popular love interest and the one Stan married Peter to, so no other love interest is ever going to compare or escape the shadow cast by that character as well as the legacy left by her via all the children she and Peter have had in the various continuities. If anyone thought Felicia was ever destined to be the "long term gal" we'd have had books where she and Peter had kids. We have not at any point. Besides, Felicia at this stage will never be the long-term gal given all she's done since the 2014 relaunch, she's a major league crime boss, she's gotten people killed and for the cherry on top, she nearly killed Aunt May.

Felicia fans can be just as deluded as the Church of Gwen in light of the facts.

And I like MJ after Felicia but for me she's not the end game.

The long-term damage will resonate for a long time regardless. The only way I see Felicia redeeming herself is if she rediscovers Peter's identity and remembers the bond she had with him when she was trying to go straight, but as Slott suggests, she may be too far gone for that to be a simple solution to things.

And while I'm glad you like MJ, the facts are she remains the endgame for Peter in certain mediums. Felicia does not have half the cultural impact as MJ has left.

Also Felicia was the end game in game of shadows (admittedly the suit ending) and has been in loads of cartoons from the 90's cartoon to Spectacular.

Hell Felicia was originally introduced as a villain but became the love interest. That's organic development. Felicia will be around a long time yet despite what Slott wants.

Besides MJ is not even on Spiderman at the moment and Felicia is the natural choice to be the Love interest instead of the random girls they are currently using
