"I think it would be really cool for Spider-Man and Ms Marvel to make a go of having a relationship. I think that if it is well-written it could be really cute and funny. I would love it if it became a regular feature of Amazing Spider-Man. Obviously it would be a bit weird if it was permanent, but what's wrong with running with it for say a year?   I'm partly excited because as a Spidey fan, this a whole new way in which to get behind the character. I really want him to go for it with one the hottest and most powerful ladies in the MU! (I have a bit of a crush on Ms Marvel.) He has had hot girlfriends before but they've never really made it stick with an already established female character, which I think would be a lot cooler. I would find a relationship with Ms Marvel a lot more interesting than what went on with him and the Black Cat way back.  Also, I don't agree with much of the criticism of the potential relationship on the basis that Spidey isn't serious enough for the no-nonsense Carol. Anyone who's read the recent Ms Marvel stuff knows she has a sense of humour. Plus, Spidey's jokey wisecracking exterior isn't his whole character; this is a guy who's suffered great loss and emotional pain and has still come through. If Carol gets to know him enough, I think she would actually have a huge amount of respect for him. I can't see her falling for him straight away, but if the writer's somehow let her be exposed to what lies at the core of Peter's character, there's a chance of some affection. "

I think its worth exploring.  They are so opposite and usually that makes for good comedy dynamic.  No one wants to see strong man archetype with a 50's esque obedient woman.  Thats lame and should stay in the 50's.  She's super conservative, head strong, motivated, and has her life together (cept for the bid with alcoholism).  He's super liberal, happy go lucky, takes it one day at a time (pun not intended), whos personal life is a mess.  The glue that brings them together is they both fight crime.  She might be stronger but in the end he is probably more cunning so seeing them battle rogues would be fun too.  This shouldn't be permanent but give it a go and see the response

thats the whole reason for Brand New Day was to de-age Peter so they def not giving him a kid.  Quesada felt that Pete and MJ being married made him unrepeatable.... which is hilarious considering spider man came out in the 60's so obviously he's gonna have fans who have grand kids now.  I also think its stupid they make Spider girl only an M2 character.  Why can't he have a kid?  Reed Richards has two.  God knows how many Wolverine has....and his character definitely appeals to the adolescent male, and Cyclops is the biggest pimp in Marvel!  He has two fully grown sons and a grown ass daughter lol I know time travel is involved but it def makes him seem his age.

Plus she is a military, no nonsense girl that would not be able to put up with his constant complaining and jokes. Sure she can deal with it in a team, but I doubt romantically. She has already given more than a little implication that he annoys her anyway.

In all seriously odd couples make for great situations.  Isn't that every Judd Apatow comedy?  I don't think they should STAY together for-comic-book-ever.  But since she lost her solo title after gauntlet ends and they want to lighten the mood she can get a run as a side character in ASM for a while

Mostly, it is her than needs comforting as she is a recovering alcoholic and a girl whose life has left more than a few scars which initially drove her to alcoholism.
