So I was reading The Other, I know I'm late, but this here is my question in the following scans:

Am I right to say there is four people?

-The man who dreamed of being a spider

-The spider who dreamed of being a man

-The One

-The Other

So if I'm right, my theory is Kaine is the Other because of the event in scarlet spider, and Otto Octavius would be the man who dreamed of being a spider, because he choose to be spider-man, or it could be Ezekiel because he wasn't chosen either. But Peter would be the One because, well who would be then? But I don't know who could be the spider who dreamed of being a man.

Also these scans show that there is a chosen one and Ezekiel isn't, but Peter is.

In my mind I read it as are you one of them, or the other one.. the man dreamed of being the spider or the spider who dreamed of being the man , one or the other. I didn't read into it that much, but that's cool. It's hard to tell when over thinking is being done, or if comics had this all planned out since dance one.

I think there are just two - the man who dreamed of being a spider is the one and the spider who dreamed of being a man is the other.

"The Other" became it's own character. Is that what you meant?

@therrieur: The spider who dreamed of being a man could be the spider that bit Peter. Just a guess though.

@ninjablade09: Hadn't think of that, that makes sense, more than anything I can think of.

@therrieur: Well when I read your original post I went back and read the Coming Home JMS arc. And there are a lot of talk about what the spiders thought and decided to just guess.
