    Hello, friends

    !!REEALLY OLD SCHOOL SPOILERS!!

    I just picked up the Clone Saga collection on ComiXology and wanted to ask if there was someone who could give a general summary of the situation previous to the story. Spider-Man seems to respond oddly when his clone calls him Peter Parker (Web of Spider-Man #117 - Power and Responsibility, Part 1: Shadow Rising). I know one of these is Ben Riley and I think I remember hearing somewhere that Spider-Man is actually Ben Riley here, but then the professed clone in this issue doesn't preclude that he's the original Peter Parker, but confesses that he is a clone.

    If someone could sum up what's been going on in Spider-Man's life up to this point briefly and/or just give me the necessary (or helpful) bullet points that would be great. If you have to spoil things from before the Clone Saga, it's cool, but I'd prefer not.
