Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider as a teenager, granting him spider-like powers. After the death of his Uncle Ben, Peter learned that "with great power, comes great responsibility." Swearing to always protect the innocent from harm, Peter Parker became Spider-Man.
I think it could be really interesting if done right. Waaaaaay too easy to overstep and just make it creepy and unpleasant to read though (like most of Amazing 698-700 was).
The first issue actually had me liking Superior, even though he's obviously an asshole. I fully expect he'll be a bit of a sleaze with MJ, which'll make for an compelling little arc, but if he sleeps with her it'd be a little too much, I think. Don't think I could really get on board with a title if the main character is a rapist (and, as we covered extensively in another thread, Ock sleeping with MJ in the guise of Peter does technically make him a rapist in most places except California).
