yeah, science, sometimes when things get TOO unbelievable, it starts to get crazy. Spider-man is a good comic because it borderlines reality more than most other comic. Characters like Galactus, Thor, Superman, X-Men are all very very very very very unlikely interms of reality, and although the reality of Spider-man is very very very very unlikey... that's still one less very than the others. You can relate more to getting bitten by a spider, than you can with mystical powers.

Well I can see mystical will bring up a whole lot of new stories going for him. But I'd probably keep him as science.

That's true, also opens a whole new door for villain possiblities.

50/50 cuz Spidey is borderline fantasy/realism in both respects. He's wish fulfillment and defies human comprehension when he fights kinda like Thor and Ironman. He's just relateable and fully lives in a similar realistic way as a street level hero and a human being.

I think I'm going to take the route Peter took in that story and say "It doesn't matter." Cause really it doesn't change anything. He's still Peter Parker. He still got powers from the spider bite. The only thing that changed were a few details that don't mean much in the overall storyline.
