Certainly seems to be based on it. If so, we may be seeing an evolution of the costume towards his main version.

And it totally does, and if so, it goes with what I said about the first image when it was posted in the news where we may see the costume change throughout the multiple movies, eventually showing him in his classic costume once he's reached a certain point in his role as Spider-man.

I hope you're right. I prefer the classic Spidey suit anytime.
