Move Over Zac Efron, Logan Lerman wants to wear spandex!

    No Caption Provided
Move over, Zac Efron! Logan Lerman of the upcoming Percy Jackson and the Olympians may be in the running to play Peter Parker in the upcoming 'Spider-Man' movie. At least according to a recent interview he did with Billy Bush. Apparently, Sony and Lerman have mutually reached out to one another in order to discuss the possibility of the actor to play the role, but according to Heat Vision both Sony and the actor's representatives is "not the frontrunner and no actual 'business discussions' have been made with Lerman." Honestly, Lerman looks like Parker, a lot more than a lot of other actors. Also, the fact that he has a decent resume and has appeared in films such as 3:10 to Yuma and The Butterfly Affect.

"There have been a few discussions, it's definitely something I'm looking into," the 18-year-old Lerman said. "It's one of my favorite characters ever and I'm a huge fan of the series. I'd love to have more conversations about it. I'm definitely very interested in it."

"It's just, you know, conversations are starting. It's a long process with the studio and the producers and everything. But it's definitely a project that I'm really interested in, of course. I'd love to focus on the human element a little bit more. It'd be such a fun experience."

The fact that he has a decent resume and has appeared in films such as 3:10 to Yuma and The Butterfly Effect definitely add to his credibility as an actor, and I don't know about you guys, but I would really rather see a kid like him play the role of Peter Parker, than some overpriced guy from a Disney musical. What do you guys think?

Logan Lermann should be Peter Paker/Spidey in this Ultimate Spider-Man Live Action Movie. He is perfect. Nuff Said.

While Percy Jackson and the Olympians feels like a poor attempt to make another Harry Potter. Seeing how they are going back to a high school setting in the Spider-man franchise. He could possibly be a good fit for the role.

I'm not very concerned about the movies being set in high school. I'm more worried that the stories may become too "high school". Which I doubt a little bit will happen. I'm pretty sure that Marvel wants to hit the same basic target audience as the previous films did.

This is a good article that actually has me a bit more interested in the next film. I almost wish they were already filming.
(Wasn't the movie name "Butterfly Effect". Minor typo?)

I hardly think artistic stylization compared to crucial plot points and character development. Now go read a Spider-Man book, I hate seeing ignorant comments.

So now it's about crucial plot points? Make up your mind man! The fact that Effron acted for "17" (you do know he was 17 in that movie right? unless your still stuck on the "crucial plot points") movie, he' did not so bad of a job.

Make up my mind? …what? What the hell are you talking about? What do I have to make my mind up about? Do you speak English? Peter Parker not being an anguished teenager isn't crucial? Oh yes, the emotional and literal growth of the Peter Parker character added nothing of value to the decades of stories. Pssh! And your lividly defending Effron…like some (as you would say) frat girl. And you do realize that frat girl is an oxymoron, right? You're aware of that, right? Forgive us, the people that have actually read Spider-Man, for not wanting some prepackaged Disney marketing tool face as the Web Swinger. I'd take this Logan Lerman over Effron any day. Hell, I'd take Logan over Toby!

i really want to see Percy Jackson and the Olympians now!!!  ive read the books and there quite good!!!! :D
also I think he'll make a great spider-man/ Peter Parker, i bet he's a better actor than zac efron .....
zac efron will turn the new spider-man film into a musical and that's why i don't want to see the new rebooted spider-man films , if zac efron is playing  spider-man of course lol

Efron's cool and all,but he's way too attractive (No homo). Lerman is way better for the appearance. But I'm not sure about his overall acting ability when it comes to playing one of the worlds most beloved heroes

People this guy fits the role so perfectly.

I cant believe i havent thought about this until now. He has the look down but how can he become a nerd int the beginning. logan is a perfect fit for the role and he is in an upcoming movie with hero movie qualities with the chronicles of narnia. i truly believe if he's casted he can bring the movie up and hopefully in time for the avengers in 2012
but i dont think these two movies can be pulled off in time it will take massive effort and little time so either peter wont be in avengers or the avengers will be pushed back lets hope for the best

I would be really happy with this choice. He was good in movies like 'Bill' and '3:10 to Yuma'. He looks the part, and is the right age as well. If 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' does well (book was awesome btw, looking forward to that one) he may offer some name recognition too.

Logan Lerman is named Logan Wade Lerman after Wolverine and Deadpool. No joke.
