now this is interesting. I thought Ben  and disintegrated proving Peter wasnt the clone  also who is the green fuzzy guy?

Worth noting: Ben's death is a giant plot hole (perfect clones do not melt/disintegrate upon death).

@Primmaster64:  I asked Mr. Slott if that was Ben in the tank knowing that he wasn't going to tell me who it was and he said "The person in the tank is....a mystery. :-)"

It's possible that Anti-Venom could cure him back to normal. Slott's said that Venom and Anti-Venom will play a huge role in the story. 

was just thinking that if that is Queen then it would make sense for her to call Ben her Spider-king...she wanted Peter but couldn't have so why not go after Ben

i hope its not ben, just because i dont want him back as a spider-freak. i want him back as ben, not this mutated thing. 
 
on the other hand, i definitely trust slotts judgement and if it is ben, im sure hes going to make a great story out of it.

I mean, how lackluster is this?!  First time he shows up in over a decade, and it's just to get horribly disfigured into a generic goon for another villain.

How could anyone be confused? He clearly calls the tarantula following him around Kaine when he tells him to fight against the "perfect" one after having mutated him. 
 
Whether that clone that was transformed is Ben Reilly is what wasn't confirmed.

I'm endorsing the possibilities that Carrion is involved, being he is the clone of the Jackal, 
and with Wacker's comment also the chance Miles precious Gwen clone will be in.

Jackal seems to remember that Peter is Spider-Man. He states that he's spent "years obsessing over parkers DNA", which hints that his memory of Spider-Mans identity was never wiped. Though if it was wiped I'm sure he could've figured it out anyway, but his dialogue makes it sound like he has known for a long time. From what we've seen of the story so far I don't think it's a quesiton that needs to be answered, but for continuitys sake I'd like to know (maybe it's been adressed already, I'm not sure)
 
On a side-note: I really dig Casellis art in this one.
