Yup, that was definitely the goal. Have you seen Black Dynamite? Think of it like that but instead of Blaxploitation films it's an homage to 60/70's b movies and foreign bootlegs of american action films.

@Primmaster64: Not quite, they shot it on 35mm film to give it the appearance of feel of the time it's set in.
