Utilizing his intellect and his abilities, If he truly tried I bet he could takeover a city. Anything more would probably be a stretch. Not to say that he would try to do that, but just to make a point.

For your answer, read Back In Black and Grim Hunt. In both arcs he kicked some serious ass against opponents he would usually have a lot of trouble under usual conditions.

Also, i can't remember exactly, if it was in the Gathering of the Five arc or another one related to it( it's been some time since i've read it ), Spider-man has shown incredible strength by supporting a part of the daily bugle even though he was highly injured. It's these kind of occasions where he push himself over his limits.

Of course there are more occasions, but i've mentioned some of my faves.

But to be more clear, a deadly spider-man, would be probably the most or at least one of the most powerful street levelers. Especially considering how much better he became after his training with Shang! :)

Really.. he's not that strong at all. After all he's just a drawing on a piece of paper.

 It never fails...... He's a team buster and could take over some small cities but he could be easily stopped by normal human military weapons unlike most high end villains. I guess I'd put him around the same level as Omega Red although Spidy is the more powerful of these two I feel the next step up from this is just a bit to high. I just don't see Parker as being the same kind of genius that Dr.Doom is or else that would be my answer. ... Edit I'll just say he's somewhere between these two. At the high end he's Doom at the low end he's Omega.

He could trash a few streets. Could probably wreck a building.

He's probably capable of wrecking a city, or completely taking over it maybe even trapping the citizens too like bane did with Gotham in TDKR but by himself (long duration, superstrong webbing barrier?), if he had prep and wanted to.

If Spidey trained with gurus and martial artists, he could expand his Spidey sense and skills overall.

There was a WHAT IF? where it was shown that if Pete spent more time training his spider-sense, he'd be far more effective. To the point of being insanely terrifying.

 that's giving him a boost though. If we just take him as is and turn him evil he'd be a problem for most teams but he would still be far from unstoppable . He's not Magneto,Apocolyps,Thanos but he's above average.

Indeed, his spider sense was so fine tuned that it became an advanced Pre-cog.

spiderman is a beast!!! if he was written to use his powers and intellect to the fullest, he'd give any character a good run for their money, not that he doesn't already. i'd bet my money he could challenge mr. fantastic and iron man, respectively. he probably could take the black panther and beast. utilizing his spidersense and intergrating it with his intellect along with his impressive strength, spiderman can become a powerful threat, street level or global.

That story was great. Spidey was truly a beast there, but it would be stupid to make him so powerful in the canon series. That was just a what if, but in the actual series, it wouldn't make it any interesting to be so powerful. But he still is amazing even with they way his skills work now.

Spidey could already take Beast. Also without the vibranium suit he could take Black Panther too. Agree with you on the rest though.

Wait did spidey get his spider sense back? I always thought he was underrated because of him being too much of a good guy. But remembering some of my old comics form years ago, he was pretty vicious when he cut loose

Spider-Man written properly has never been street level. Anything higher then Deathstroke without PIS or Heart-Shaped Herb BP is not street level.

When Spider-man gets super serious, he's one of the most powerful in Marvel. He's beaten Rhino (an 80 tonner) with just three punches (I assume it was 3 anyway) when he was mourning Cap's death back in Civil War, he kept the entire DB building from going down by replacing a balance beam, he's broken out of 4 of Doc Ock's carbonadium tentacles wrapped around him in Ends of the Earth when the world was about to end (and I also recall him ripping them apart when they were titanium), he's demolished an entire building within minutes that would've taken a normal construction crew six hours to demolish, and he's even demolished two sentinels all by himself in two panels. His base strength may be only 10 tons, but his "shit hits the fan" strength multiplies that immensely. <---- That right there should be proof enough most of the things people say about Spidey feats in comics being full of PIS is bulls**t. Lol :P

he would be deadly, unpredictable and very formidable superhero. just like he is when he has the symbiote on him.

@SpideyFan113: The fight with Rhino you are talking about, occurred at the period when spidey had the other powers, that means his strength was even greater than it usually was. So the 3 punches thing, doesn't sound as impressive is it would if spidey had his regular strength. But to be fair, spidey has beaten Rhino in a few punches before when he was serious, so your point is still valid.

Mostly because of Spider-Sense. Use it in the right fight, and he'd rock!

I think if peter was as serious like batman serious and trained his spidey sense to over the limit he could maybe he could fight Captain America, iron man, black panther, beast, Luke cage and maybe wolverine. two at a time

You are forgetting the two rather large issues of:

A) A spider-sense (he knows what you're going to do before you do it).

B) Webbing; which can pretty much incapacitate anything and has a million uses; shield, swing, catapult, sticker, etc.

In the comic world he's simply the king of the street levelers.

Well i mean he did beat Firelord a herald of galactus, although that was mostly due to spider sense, agility and blitzing his opponent, but when spider-man gets serious (usually shown by putting on his spare black costume) he's pretty scary and possibly deadly

When you push Spiderman to the point he can get Very dangerous!!!!!if u ever heard of Spiderman vs morlun you will see y he is a force Definitely not to be tampered with. Don't ever underestimate the spider.

When Peter gets serious his not to be F with, it's that simple.

He could breeze through all the heroes not named Hulk, Thor, Ice man, dr. strange, fully prep iron man, and carol danvers. If he controls the web of life, could most likely be cosmic level and be a threat to thanos and dormmy.

This pretty much - his combination of powers is just too great and if he goes all out, it would devastating for the MU.

And if he got prep, he would certainly beat a fully prepped IM and Carol, as well as having good fights with Hulk and Thor. Strange still stomps though.

spider-man is really powerful. he can shatter concrete in a single punch, bend steel with bare hands, able to shatter the 3rd hardest metal, able to knock down a train cartage in a single flick, completely shatters a knife in a single flick. he has pushed himself over his limits many times. he has done some few crazy lifting before. i remember he has lifted 1000's of tones.
