i have read a couple of sm titles recently, but i have essentually boycotted spidey since omd? i am thinking of reading grim hunt though. is it worth picking up?

Definitely worth picking up. It's a great Spider-Man tale and is well written. This is the story that resurrects Kraven The Hunter and he is not happy about it. If you know anything about the back story and events 20 years earlier from J. M. DeMatteis masterpiece "Kraven's Last Hunt", then I think you are going to enjoy "Grim Hunt".

The story is darker and has a more serious tone to it, and if like me you are totally sick of all the deconstructive goofball debauchery that has plagued the Amazing Spider-Man title these past few years, then you're in for a treat.
