Who's your favorite Spidey villian? Mine obviously is Venom.
Spider-Man
Character » Spider-Man appears in 17246 issues.
Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider as a teenager, granting him spider-like powers. After the death of his Uncle Ben, Peter learned that "with great power, comes great responsibility." Swearing to always protect the innocent from harm, Peter Parker became Spider-Man.
Favorite Spidey Villian
I really like Doc Oc and Sandman. Doc Oc just cuz he always looks so interesting. He's kinda a hard character to draw but when people do him right it's awesome.
On another note...
Hey, VJ, I was just going through your Blade submission, what is his monthly comic called? It's not called "Blade" is it? I've never read any of his stuff and wanted to make sure we had all the issues attached to his page, but when I did a blade search for volumes it didn't pop anything up.

Hmmmmmm I'll look into it.
I've always liked the look of Mysterio for some reason but I gotta say the Hobgoblin is my fav. Yeah he came on the Green Goblin's coattails but he made a name for himself. He succeeded where Harry and his psychologist failed. The Hobgoblin storyline is where I first came in. It was so great reading it every month not knowing who he really was and trying to decipher all the clues.
You know, even though I'm not a huge Spider-Man fan, I have to go with Hobgoblin as well. That was also the story that I remember when I think of Spidey.
Hobgoblin. Maybe we're all around the same age then. Anyway I love that story line cause they killed him in his apartment by strangulation. Deliciously villainous
I know he's not technically a spiderman villain, but I always liked Kingpin from the 90's cartoon series.
well, i personally think spideys rogues are some of the best (sorry Batman fans)... so ill give you a breakdown as i see it...
Sheer power: Electro... the guy could be the most dangerous villian Pete has.
Coolness factor: Venom, although personaly i think hes a weak character for the most part
Classic factor: Doc ock, nothing says great villian from the sixties like Elton John in a green jumpsuit
Sheer Evil: Norman Osborn, if he is in green or not, i love this character....
Most likely to Succeed: Kraven, lets face it he already basicaly killed spidey once before
but may i conclude that i think spidey has the best wannabees ever, do yourself a favor and look up these guys if you wanna laugh:
the big wheel (fat), Swarm (nazi), Fusion (simease twins of power), Jack o Lantern (rip off of rip of), Boomerang (hitman that uses boomerangs), Will o the Wisp (gay), Hipno Hustler (LOL)
I'll have to say the green goblin, with venom following on a close second.
There's a recent book, I don't remember when, of spidey and Norman fighting in the sewer. They're beating the crap out of each other, and all of a sudden, they stop, and start talking. They're being all serious, and then Norman busts out with something along the lines of "I wasn't always going to call myself the green goblin. When I first started out I was going to call myself Mr. Coffee". After reading this bit, I can't think of GG any other way. Yeah, he's freaking evil. But that was some of the funniest crap i've ever read in my life. The awkward silence before the two of them busted out laughing was what made it. And Pete's "watch out kids! it's Mr. Coffee and his Latte of doom!". It reminds me the really crazy effed up relationship Norman and Pete have.
My favorite Spidey villain is life. No one has kicked Spidey in the teeth, or balls, more than him just being alive has.
On a separate note, I thought the 2nd movie was better than the first, and I have high hopes for #3 as well.
I guess I'm the unusual one...I love Vermin! I don't know what it is, but creepy rat-guy always brings a smile to my face.
And I love Electro, since he always seems so pathetic, even when he's beating Spider-Man.
I'll be different. I have to go with the Beetle and the Rhino. I'm quite frankly sick of Venom. And the fact that Venom and Green Goblin are now Thunderbolts really doesn't help them get my vote. Honorable mention. The Porcupine of course. What's that you say? He never fought him. He did in the Electric Companies Spidey Super Stories. I have to mention the Walrus as well. As long as he's around no other villain need fear being voted lamest villain of all time. I thought the Walrus was cool though. So did the Beatles.
brand van hel says:
"all of them even grizzly and paste pot pete.how could you choose? they are all classic foes of spiderman(hehe)"
Even Kangaroo? FrogMan?
Spidey's like, my favrite superhero. And without a doubt his own Rogues Gallery is the most famous one around.
Me I'd have to say Venom and Carnage are my favorites, with Dr. Octopus as runner-up.
I don't really know why, but i've always liked Shocker the best. Not many people will try to kick your ass wearing a quilt. Plus he seems to be one of the few villians who places money over revenge.
Beast says:
""Call me crazy, I'm used to it...but I've always admired the character of the Sandman.I must admit, Thomas Hayden Church will be perfect for the role, and I'm quite thrilled that he will be the main villian for Spiderman3."
I don't get the whole bit about him being responsible for killing Uncle Ben. I have faith in Raimi but I don't get it. It's like when they had the Joker kill Bruce Wayne's parents.
