Nope I love Spider-Man especially since he deals with everyday like problems.

spiderman is my favorite hero. i like his personality even though he can be annoying at times. Also like the decisions he has me to me he is a great hero.

Him as a character, I'm not a fan of. But there's no doubt that Spider-man comics are always fun to read. Mostly because his enemies are pretty unique.

Spider-man is the greatest comic book hero ever.

i don't hate him and i don't adore him, I can only respect him. he was never my favourite and he isn't that appealing to me either.

i fail to understand why he's so popular when there are many other characters with better stories. the only positive thing i can say about him is that he's relatable and i've enjoyed all the spiderman movies. Other than that he's not in my top 20 favourite heroes list.

Honestly, Captain America should be marvels mascot.

I don't Hate Spider-Man. He'll probably always be my favorite Marvel character. That being said I do sometimes hate the way he is written but this goes for just about every character not just Spider-Man. I usually find myself relating too him. Now anyone who started reading during the beginning of BND or during OMD I can see why they wouldn't be a fan.

I have a question for the OP though. why would you ask if people hate him on a Spider-Man forum? It just seems like hating the outdoors then going camping too me.

Depends really on what take on Spider-Man and his characters you're referring to. The Mephistoverse (2007-present) I have no time or tolerance for, same with the Ultimate cartoon. Everything else is pretty enjoyable.

Same here. I hate the way he is being currently written. Totally unrelatable.

I hate how Spider-Mans been treated over the last seven years if that counts.

I guess he appeals to the twink demographic.

With the exception of the Teen Titans, I find adolescent-child super heroes extremely odious.

The problem with Spiderman is he is overpowered. Taking on groups like the Sinister Six and winning is muy aburrido after a while. He would've been a better fit in a team roster like the X Men or Avengers.

...Pretty sure that's been his status quo for about eight years now.

@zavalar37: In Spider-Man's defense, I believe he's only confronted the Sinister Six twice by himself and "won", once as PP and once as SpOck, and in the PP encounter, he only won because the Six fought him one one one instead of all at the same time. He even admitted that if they attacked him as a team, they would've stood a chance. The other time was in SS #1 and he "won" when the new Six retreated but he didn't outright beat them by himself.

I can see how people don't like him, he's a bit of a stagnant wuss, loses respect as much as he gains more, and not as cool as Deadpool or Ironman consistantly, from where I sit he was much more dynamic and fresh in the 90s and early 2000s.

Fans just can't get into self hating protagonists at a certain age anymore.

spiderman is my favorite. however, i hate the way they retconned him. bnd was just dumb. i hate bnd. spidey was getting real interesting. he had a kool upgrade and a hot model wife. quesaida making the decision to put him back to status quo was just dumb. every other character can grow, but spidey remains stuck being broke. it's just dumb. i hope he gets an upgrade after the spider verse. he is now the weakest spider character. how dumb is that?

I can sympathize with this. Yes he is EVERYWHERE and he really doesn't need to be. The boy is is in every team technically they don't need him.

I agree here. I like Spidey, but he is they type of character that is VERY annoying and obnoxious. I feel for ALL the heroes that had to team up with him. Imagine being a hero and your fighting along side him and all you hear is his mouth yapping away and making bad jokes while your trying to focus on using your powers and fighting. I'll admit it would be fun being with him and fighting with him, BUT it gets REALLY old and soon you will hear yourself saying "GOSH! he's annoying"

That's why many heroes don't want to team up with him.

IMO Spider-man is one the greatest superhero's ever created. But it is OK to dislike the character, and it is OK to find like minded people who also dislike the character.

Haven't liked the poor quality of writing on ASM for some 8 years now.

Cap seems to me a little overratted. You would easily expect him to be a mascot because of his gentleman 1900's talks. And the only reason why Peter is popular because people understand what's it like to get bullied, to loose a grandfather but was a parent, and then have your parents run off. Or to see the struggles of living in high school but you have other stuff to take care of. Peter's stories are always one of the best cause of course, he cracks the jokes which we all like to do to piss of a person once in a while. Reasons why you don't like him? He don't like jokes, you never experiences these type of issues, or for some bizarre reason you hate him, probably the environment you live in makes you hate him. This is my opinion, but if you don;t like him, I respect what you think. It's your expression of belief. But out of curiosity, why don't you like him?

i did lose 2 parents when i was six and had to live with my grandmother...plus I never said i didn't like him. I like him but he's just not that appealing to me.
