Few things right off the bat. A couple weeks ago we skeptically announced that supposedly Logan Lerman was signed on to play Spider-Man. Well, according to Mtv, NO ONE has been cast for the part of Peter Parker as of yet. What is news then? Well, before the Oscars yesterday, Zac talked to Mtv and said this when asked if he'd like the part of Peter Parker in the reboot of the Spider-Man Franchise:
He would tear this up! Joking aside, is this plausible? In my humble opinion, when looking at other recent new, yes. In January, we announced that Zac Efron would be starring in an adaptation of a Brian Bendis book, Fire. Almost a month later, we found out that Brian Bendis had a creative meeting with the new Spiderman reboot team, leading many to believe, this upcoming film could be an adaptation of Ultimate Spiderman. What else could this have meant? Maybe Bendis was throwing his two cents in about Efron. Zac sure has been vocal about his love for the character and how he'd "tear it up," so maybe it's all one plan to get Efron into that red and blue suit."Are you kidding? It would be a dream come true," he said. "I think it would be an honor. I would tear it up."
We won't know for sure probably for a few weeks, but things seem to be coming together in a paranoid conspiracy theorist kind of way. Bendis is working with the new Spidey team and Zac on two separate projects, and maybe, just maybe he's trying to get Zac on this film too because of Zac's excitement for the character.
What do you guys think? Sound plausible?
