Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider as a teenager, granting him spider-like powers. After the death of his Uncle Ben, which he could have prevented, Peter learned that "with great power, comes great responsibility." Swearing to always protect the innocent from harm, Peter Parker became the Amazing Spider-Man!

Could this be true? Will there really be a Spider-Man 4?

I saw a page talking about possible villians for the next one. I don't know if I believe it but it said that it will be Carnage and Lizard. Also they said Black Cat may appear. I will try and get the link.

Yeah Sony committed to 4,5, and 6 *before 3 even came out. They were hoping that Sam will be on board. I have a feeling he may not direct but will produce them. He wants to spend time with his family and work on other movies.

I think number 3 will be the last for most of the cast in the Spider-Man mivies.

Nothing has been confirmed. It's way too early for anything concrete. Anything you hear now will most likely be pure speculation. Sam's been wanting to have the Lizard in them as you've seen Dr. Connors as Peter's professor in the movies. I'd be surprised to see Carnage as Sam didn't really like Venom (most likely why he seemed to be added into the movie as an afterthought and barely even in it). I don't know if they'd want to go with someone as close, although they did have Harry as a villain.

I think Raimi still wants to direct though, he still has lots of ideas for possible stories but he probably won't fit the schedule for sony.

I don't know where my mates get their information from but my mates said that Morlun or Carnage MIGHT be the villains in 4.

I really want to see Bruce Cambell as Mysterio. That would make any Spider-Man movie perfect.

Tobey was all against doing more before 3 came out. Now that they've seen how much money it brought in, you know all it would take is a boatload of cash. Tobey has said he'd do another if the story had something to offer and if Sam was on board.

Yeah I read somewhere that Avi Arad pressured Raimi to add Venom in.

I don't think they'd go with Morlun since he's not a mainstream enough character. The whole spider totem hasn't gone over so well in the comics.

I really hope the symbiote and Eddie Brock would somehow come back from the dead and create Carnage.

If Raimi directs, I can see Lizard definitely. One of Raimi's favorite villains.

I'm getting tired of the Batman villain deaths. The bad guy finds out Peter is Spidey then dies at the end. I'd love for a Sinister Six (with Ock).

By the way, this should all be in the Spidey 3 talkback, that's why I pinned it.

Technically we don't know if Ock died or not, and Sandman is still alive.

I don't think Sandman would come back as a villain for Spider-Man, I would really like him to help Spider-Man in other movies.

I don't know about that... Harry when from Foe to Friend to Foe to Friend again in almost less time than it takes to tell in the last movie. Sandman can do the same.

They had a Sinister Twelve too. I think Sam would have a heart attack trying to direct that.

I think Gwen will become Black Cat, and the main villain will be Lizard for number 4.
