It’s been a while since we’ve really heard any more casting buzz about Marc Webb’s SPIDER-MAN reboot. Last time there was talk, it seemed to go back and forth between naming that Logan Lerman kid and Zack Efron as the new Peter Parker. Now, the Hollywood Reporter’s got the rumor mill spinning again with five actors who I’m not that familiar with. Here’s the five…

• Josh Hutcherson - - His name was tossed around earlier.  Most people will be familiar with him from JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH 3D and ZATHURA, which, of course, was the movie Jon Favreau directed right before IRON MAN. He’s been in another comics-based movie already - - AMERICAN SPLENDOR.
• Jamie Bell - - This guy’s going to be TINTIN soon in Spielberg’s big mocap adaptation of Herge’s classic comics character next year. If he does get cast, prepare for an endless amount of Tintin/Spidey team-up jokes. He’s been in a number of British films, but you might know him for the latest KING KONG remake.
• Frank Dillane -- This guy played a younger version of “Tom Riddle” in HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE. I’ll confess to not keeping up to my Hogwarts syllabus, but Tom Riddle’s supposed a younger version of that big evil wizard Voldemort, right?  
• Andrew Garfield - - Genre fans will probably recognize him Terry Gilliams’ latest movie THE IMAGINARIUM OF DR. PARNASSUS (which was also Heath Ledger’s last role.) He’ll be in the upcoming FACEBOOK movie, too.
• Alden Ehrenreich - - Maybe this guy wasn’t bitten by a radioactive spider, but he’s got something of a crazy origin, himself. He was discovered by Steven Spielberg at a friend’s Bar Mizvah, which led to him starring in a SUPERNATURAL episode and the Francis Ford Coppola movie, TETRO. == TEASER ==

Josh Hutcherson, Logan Lerman are my only choices, some of these guys look like Emo Russians

Logan Lerman was my initial choice. Now with him out of the running, Josh is the best bet.

This is BULLLLSHIT! These guys are all too old.

The only one that passes is Jamie Bell.  He looks like the kind of dude that took s#%& from bullie in high school.  Could work, the others no not so much.

Tobey didn't come off as a good Peter Parker either when he was casted.  Im more frightened at the director that was chosen.  I don't want this going all teeny bopper.  Its gonna suck, I know it.  It's gonna go all Joel Schumaker.  Might as well give the spider suit nipples right now.

Out of all the choices so far, Logan Lerman is the best. But Jon Krasinski wouldn't be bad either, even if he is a little older.

The only  one I really know is Hutcherson. The rest are unknown to me. Bell comes across as kinda creepy.

I'm on the Jamie Bell train, superb actor. He looks a bit nerdy, but he buffs up nicely

None of those choices excite me. I want Kevin McHale from Glee as my Parker.

Andrew Garfield, Definitely.

Garfield will be an interesting cast, great actor in Red Riding and Boy A

 Now these guys are actors! (Unlike the Captain America candidates) I'd want Frank Dillane most out of these guys.

They all suck IMO BUT if I had to choose from 1 of these 5 @$$clowns I'd pick the 2nd he looks the most marketable Because the 1st to metro, 3rd guy looks like he's on crack or something, 4th looks like a fake Tobey Macguire that never made it & 5th Idc for

I would go for Jamie Bell I think he is the best actor.

Pretty interesting group of actors for the part, but I really can't see anyone from this group playing the role of Peter Parker. I thought Sony would go for someone that would fit the look of a 16 to 17 yrs. old Parker for this reboot, and the only actor out of the five that come close is Josh Hutcherson if you really had no choice out of the five. 
 
 Personally I would like Sony Studios to try and find an actor that look the part as well convince us his a teenager with normal high school problems with a dose of superpower woes… Or did I mean to say foes.    

my first choice by far is anton yelchin. i really really really want yelchin. second choice is probably jamie bell. i think it would be cool to have jamie bell as spidey and hayden christiansen as venom/eddie brock.

I have not a clue on who any of them are so I can't have a opinion on who would be best lol.

Meh for me. I mean it is hard to judge what they are exactly doing but I sort of got the feeling they wanted to cast slightly younger mainly to keep the cost down but also allow these character grow in high school. I know most of the time we have older adults playing teenagers but younger the better to me for the entire cast so we get at least 2 movies in high school.

Logan Lerman should get the part.

Garfield seems like the best fit. He has the look. He has the look and the acting ability.

Jamie Bell gets my vote. Loved him in everything i've seen him in. I still want Lerman to get the part, though.
