Cable says Spider-Man will become the greatest super hero of all time. Anyone know what he means by that?

Either he sacrifices himself for some reason or he doesn't die in #700 and just becomes a different super person/retires for a while.

He already is.

Its probably something to do with his legacy. Even in 2099 someone takes up his name and saves the universe lol. So at a guess i'd say Cable was referring to Spider-man himself rather than Peter Parker.

@Vec: This is the same sentiment Thor expressed in a What If? story. I'm having trouble remembering the issue number, but Spider Man dies and the entire superhero community mourn over his lost potential.

Now is he talking about Peter Parker as Spider-man or the Superior Spider-man, because I will be really mad if he's not talking about Pete as Spider-man. I mean I'm sorry I don't really care how SUPERIOR this new guy is Peter has always been there risking his neck to save people since he was 15 YEARS OLD, hence why I think he deserves to be called the greatest hero ever.

In the comic cable just beat Cap, Iron Man, and was in the middle of fighting red hulk and Spider-Man (Peter Parker). The way he was talking with each of the other jerks suggested to me that he knew something more about each of them. He did also call red hulk by another name and was surprised that this red hulk was before who ever he thought it was.
