Yeah...both women don't look particularly MJ to me. They'd make fantastic Medusas, though.
I thought that they were going for a more Ultimate Spider-Man approach with the new MJ, where she wasn't this super-attractive supermodel, just an average snarky but somewhat pretty high-schooler.
Woodley is fine....deal with it....i know people that didnt like Garfield,at first....after the 1st trailer,he was THE Peter Parker.....so i kindly recommend you....shut it.
AS much as I think Woodly is the wrong choice, it really doesn't matter because she wont be recasted. If I had it my way Emma Stone would be MJ as well.
@Ninjablade09: I just realised what everyone is sayin'.....the movie had bad,bad.....BAD writing!....."Muther hugger.."?....and many other cheesy and stupid dialog...."Aunt May please go to sleep..." WHAT!?!!
@PunyParker: That's not what I was saying but ok. I thought the writing was ok, but you really cant complain about cheesy writing when your talking about Spider-man. The acting was the best part. Best thing about ASM2 is the writers, Roberto orci and Alex kurtzman, who have wrote some great stuff like, MI:3 and the new Star Treks. At least ASM was better than this.
And quick question what's wrong with "Aunt May please go to sleep."? Seems like something anyone would say when they are beat up and your Aunt's waiting for you after like midnight(and not to long after your Uncle was murdered). Wouldn't you want them to go to bed, and not have to see you like that?

I thought it was stupid.....you cant argue that the moive had lazy writing......"dont make promisses u cant keep..." -"But they are the best ones...".....WHAT!? Ya Vanderbuilt blew it, BUT I'm glad it had some cheesy lines like "but those are the best kind" because It would have been "dark and gritty", and I hate when people compare it to TDK and TDKR. I'm glad Spider-man flew under the radar during the fan war between MarvelFanboys and Nolanites.

Ya he just acted like Chris Nolan, oh it doesn't matter who is in the costume as long as they are wearing the costume. Maybe he was talking about civilians in the comics way of thinking of Spidey.
