Best Spider-man TV Show of all time?

#1 Posted by GraphicCasualFreak (221 posts) - - Show Bio

So you guys know the score which Spider man is the best?
         Some of them are:
                  Spectacular Spider Man (MTV joint)
Spider man and his AMAZING Friends
                 Spider-man (90s show)
If anyone knows of others please add them on.
I've seen all these, and I would say Spectacular Spidey is probably the best made.  But the 90s show took more chances.

Agreed, believe it or not Spectacular was what got me liking Kraven, he was so cool in this series! Not to mention the other villains, I was mad when they canceled it, didn't even get to see Scorpion.... -___-

I actually didn't like Spectacular to begin with.  But the more I saw the more I liked it.  I couldn't believe that it seemed like the most accurate to the comics.  Crazy...

Spectacular... Spectacular Spider-Man.

I've been a Spidey Fan since Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends and this is still the one that "gets" Spider-Man more than any animation or live-action ever has.

90/s hands down
#23 Posted by Shadowdoggy (3815 posts) - - Show Bio

although, this thread brings up a good question: have most of the people born in the later 80's and 90's ever even seen Amazing Friends or the 60's version?
and I mean, more than just clips on Youtube?
I'm just wondering

90s much better story and character portrale but the newer shows have better fights but less realistic animation

90's for me. That's what got me into comics. Venom ruled in that show!!!!

Spectacular Spiderman by far

There are actually several more than just these three -
Spider-Man: Unlimited,
Spider-Man: The New Animated Series,
Spider-Man (1960's cartoon)
Spider-Man (Japanese LA)
The Amazing Spider-Man (American LA)
Spider-Man (1980's Cartoon)

spectacular spiderman. that show was awesome, even the art style. though i do like 90's alot, it was how i learned about venom.

I think this thread should be called "WHich Spiderman series came out when you were young?" because I think that's what it came down to
I've seen all of them, but the 90's version isn't my favorite, like it seems to be wth everyone else
I think it was because I was too old to appreciate it for what it was: a great cartoon for kids

THIS,
in all honestly, anybody who says "90s series" should really just take off their nostalgia goggles,
Spectacular Spider-man is tengoogleplexes times better than 90s series.
Find any 90s spidey episode which is better than the opera episode of Spectacular Spider-Man,
just find me one, no don't post the one where electro is red skull's son, nor the 80% of the ones with kingpin in 'em,
...i like the 90s series, but just the fact that people think it's better than Spectacular Spider-Man is just bananas

90's Spidey for me. Essential part of my childhood.

#34 Posted by Shadowdoggy (3815 posts) - - Show Bio
@conformist21:
yeah, it's too subjective to pick the "best"
it's all about which series meant the most to you
for me (and yes, I am probably one of few, if not completely alone) Spiderman and his Amazing Friends was my favorite show as a kid
it made me love comics
so it's the best to me
#35 Posted by ComicMan24 (147080 posts) - - Show Bio

I don't know which one to pick. I like all of them.

You know, I'm going to get dirty looks for this but for some reason I was never really much of a spider-man fan. But spectacular spider-man showed me that I was being a dork and now I am indeed hooked.

#38 Posted by spidermanlovesblackcat (3 posts) - - Show Bio

spectacular spider-man was awesome but i liked the 90's spider-man the best

#39 Posted by mewmdude77 (993 posts) - - Show Bio

For me the order goes Spider-Man TAS (90's show), then Spider-Man and his Amazing friends (80's), and then Spectacular.

#40 Posted by Protoon (99 posts) - - Show Bio

I'd say Spectacular is the best. There are some individual episodes of TAS that I really like.

I'm also actually quite fond of the CBS live action series. When I was young I had a VHS with two feature-length episodes which I LOVED and watched over and over again.

Spectacular, spectacular spiderman

#44 Posted by Testament (351 posts) - - Show Bio

I'm honestly surprised how many people are putting Spectacular over TAS. Spiderman the animated series is one of the reasons I got into comics and Spiderman in the first place. But hey, everyones got their own opinions but TAS is defiantly in my top 3.

#45 Posted by SymbioticSpider-Man (283 posts) - - Show Bio

Spider-Man TAS for sure. They improved Spider-Man with additions like Man-Spider, making the Clone saga good, and extra powers for the symbiote like improved strength, agility, and the power to change clothes which I do not believe the symbiote originally had. Also, the character designs were better, better voice actors, and stories were better imo. Spectacular had a better opening though.
