The original Clone Wars (the one from the 1970's) is pretty good.

Come on this is a thread about good spider-man stories.

From the top of head: Kraven's last hunt, The Gang war, The death of Gwen Stacy, The death of harry Osborn, flowers for a rhino, revenge of the green goblin, etc...

Loved all of the early stuff by Lee - Ditko and also the Lee - Romita run which immediately followed it. I grew up reading Spider-Man weekly (Black and White reprints in the UK).

Kingpin's first appearance followed by a mammoth battle with Doc Oc all the way through to the "Crisis on Campus" issues (#51 - #68 of the original series) are stand out issues for me

Am I the only one around here, who actually enjoys Dying Wish? Actually I love it. It's something fresh, something never seen before and this is what comic world needs. I haven't read OMD yet, but I've read Spidey issues #1 - #450 and then #625 - #700 and I enjoyed The last ones more. Pete being single has some magic about it (that sounded quite weird).

The Death of Jean Dewolff is also supposed to be really good. It's a murder mystery.

The Other. I loved that story.

Spider-Island is a lot of fun.

Spider-Man vs Doc Ock vs Doc Ock (JMS) is the first that I read.

Ultimate Spiderman with the Ultimate X Men on Krakoa was fun (especially since they fought Deadpool)

One More... Oh wait this is a best Spider-Man story thread? My bad :P

The Conversation was a really great look at Aunt May's reaction to Peter being Spider-Man and how it changed their relationship. Kraven's Last Hunt is awesome too. Big fan of the Lee/Romita stories as well.

I liked Death of Spider-man in the Ultimate universe. if you want the mainstream Spidey I didn't mind New Ways to Die, Coming Home, Venom saga. I also personally enjoyed Maximum Carnage.

Kravens last Hunt

I really need to read Kraven's Last Hunt! I've heard so many good things about it and I was about to read it, but then I had so many other comics to read through that I never got a chance to read it. Oh well, I'll fix that!
