There's just something off about the Raimi films, I really can't put my finger on it but all the web swinging and agility never really left any impression on me. Maybe it's the effects, or just the camera work, I don't know, but I feel like that is one area where the new films unarguably improved.

The first person swinging in ASM films are amazing. Though you should have linked the one in the first ASM where he sees his reflection in the skyscraper.

Can't wait to see them outdo it in ASM3.

Its not a fair comparison though, since its a technology based shot. Every successive film will look better, basically.

At first I was skeptical about all the CGI in ASM2,but everything came out great its crazy how realistic everything looked and the camera views of the swinging were amazing. The original Spider-man swinging looks way too fake. The final swing in the first amazing spiderman is sickkk

I know a lot of people were based on the first trailers. I don't think people realized those shots were not done lol.

If you notice they did the same thing with Godzilla. The first trailer? Barely saw him.

The last trailer? All over the place.

ASM2, I like seeing the first person web slinging. Always wondered how he manages to grab those webs so fast.

..not a fair comparison really. SM1 was back in 2002 when CGI was still relatively new. Fast forward to 2014 and huge advances in film making technology make it inevitable that ASM2 will look better in swinging, action and so on.

Easily Amazing Spider-Man 2 I mean the technology is so much better and Sony Imageworks has more experience. Not really a fair comparison.

@amazingspiderman15: Really? I'll have to look into it. I can see it being very polarizing, either love it or hate it. Depends on how it was designed I guess.

TASM2, but to me it's kind of hit and miss. Sometimes the moves and effects looked video gamish and had more of a matrix feel. (Especially with the overuse of the slow motion). Plus they used a lot of movements from the raimi movies as well.
