What Spidey games have you played?

Spider-Man PS1, Spider-Man Enter Electro, Spider-Man The Movie, Spider-Man 2, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man 3, Spider-Man Friend or Foe, Spider-Man Web of Shadows, Spider-Man Spider-Man Edge of Time, and of course Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2, and maybe a couple others I'm forgetting. And yes, out of all those Amazing Spider-Man 1 was the first to really immerse me in the character a truly make me feel like I was actually Spider-Man.

Okay,that's an opinion,but i really can't see that.....

You have played SM2,Ultimate, and WoS...anyway,cool.

@punyparker: It's a matter of the little things more than anything, little annoyances that pull me out of the experience. For me, it's probably the combat that is the biggest factor, but also moving around in general. ASM1 is the first Spider-Man game to really get the combat RIGHT, to really make it as fast paced and fluid as it should be. The web rush feature allowing one to quickly and easily run, flip, and jump around the city without having to put much thought into it is another big one.

@immortalfrieza: I agree.Nice to see im not the only person that felt that way.The game made me feel like I was actually Spider-Man the only problem I have with it is the voice actor,they honestly could of did better.

@flameboy298: I didn't mind the voice actor so much as the repetition of the lines, especially when swinging around the city. There's only so many times you can hear the guy scream "fantastic!" or "cover price has gone up but still worth it" or "OH YEAAAAAH!!!" it starts to get REALLY annoying. I think Spidey's VA isn't half bad, but I still would have preferred having A.G. though.

@punyparker: Well, I find that web rush works. It's not exactly practical to make the player do things like run along buildings, do a few fancy jumps and flips, and then land on say a flagpole or something in the space of 5 seconds like the web rush allows with just the push of a button. I would find having to manually do that fancy stuff all the time far more annoying than automated with the web rush.

I like over-activity in games......i'd love to do the flips myself like in other games....gives you the feeling that you trully are doing it.

Oh,well,taste is taste.
I like ASM2,for what it's worth.

So apparently about 3/4 of this games budget was cut by Activision. Well that really sucks.

And still,a solid fun result.

Wow just downloaded this for my pc,THEY REALLY NEED TO OR COULD HAVE GOTTEN A BETTER VOICE ACTOR.I mean he's very hard to warm-up to and the whole new web swinging thing seems un-necessary left hand swing and right hand swing?No.They should of left it.

Well maybe thats why the game ended up like this

They couldnt even get a decent Spidey voice......they got Donatello.

@punyparker: Yeah The voicing in the game holds it back and the glitches this time around really killed it for the game for some people purchasing it,They need to get a more better solid story like the Batman games have. All in All I give it a 7.5/10 or 7/10 If it wasn't for the glitches and the swinging and voicing I'd give it a 8/10

I wrote a blog about what I think would be the perfect Spidey game. Would love some of you causal Spidey gamers thoughts.

@webhead93: Thanks! Yeah, I really like alternate costumes, and I know people would kill for them to have actual differences so I went back and looked at some of the Spidey outfits that have different features.

The Peter Parker idea I came up with because I think it would be so funny to walk around a modern NY dressed as 60's Peter.

@flameboy298: It was overall a big disappointment, but it was good for a movie game none the less. Overall the only things I think it did better than ASM1 are infinite crimes, costume perks, Peter Parker gameplay, and swinging. Other than that not much. Hero or Menace thing makes it a chore to take care of the city.

@ninjablade09: Did you have high expectations?From the gameplay I had saw I thought it was good/okay,but I knew what I was getting into when I got the game.But yeah small improvements.I really wish they would make the story better and fix the 10 year old dialogue. @punyparker: Well it did change things up abit I guess I thought it was interesting aside from playing Spider-man all the time.

Also did you guys hear Wilson Fisk voice?HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They must get the cheapest voice actors.

Yes it was,and i ,weirdly, liked the game.

It's fun and really good for what it is.
Haven't finished it yet.College n' sh!t.

@flameboy298: Not really. It looked good, and while the gameplay looked cool, I was more interested in the story it looked really personal and cool. But it ended up being very childish.

Well,you can't get Keaton to voice Spider-Man and Kevin Richardson to voice Kingpin with that budget....so it's really not their fault....

I think it wasn't......it was dark,and in general PG16.....

You gotta love those little bits in the sewer though.Man if this game wasn't a movie game I think it could be Awhole lot better.

How far are you into it? When i mean childish I mean it felt like a very direct spoonfed thing. It was made for children to understand.

@ninjablade09: Yeah it is abit,Im at the part were you fight Blackcat after taking down all her goons in the museum.But I really like the parts where its layed out like the Arkham games and stealthy take out everyone to unlock a costume.

Yea this game is pretty crappy uninstalling it from my pc.

the hero or menace system is annoying, i want to just swing around but i have to stop the crimes or the task force will come after me and send robots and put up huge nets, plus the side activities go really quickly so a lot of the time i have to web rush or swing boosts to get there, instead of swinging at my own pace and then when i reach to the side mission it disappears. I really hope that if they make an amazing spider-man 3 game they cut out the hero or menace feature :-(

why would you want to un install it

Because I just realized how Horrible this game is...

Horrible AI. game breaking glitches from time to time.Horrible voice actors(but I can get used to it).They didn't really add much combos to the combat system.

At First I thought it was pretty good until I start glitching at the electro fight

my version never glitched out at all, wonder why so many other peoples versions have

that's the thing though, aside from two boss battles it didn't follow the movie, so there shouldn't even be an excuse. lol Gwen isn't even mentioned in it except at the start. final boss was a huge let down, the story was only like 5 hours....

The games will never be the same

The game is better of movie !

I sent some tweets to the game devs hopefully they'll learn from this.

Web of shadows is still the greatest spiderman game imo

This game is just inferior to the first one in every way.
