I was wondering if anyone else considered the possibility that Superior Spider-Man will opt to equip his former mechanical arms at point during his tenure as Spidey. And if not his arms as they were, then perhaps a legion of Octobot-like Spidey-bots.
Spider-Man
Character » Spider-Man appears in 17242 issues.
Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider as a teenager, granting him spider-like powers. After the death of his Uncle Ben, Peter learned that "with great power, comes great responsibility." Swearing to always protect the innocent from harm, Peter Parker became Spider-Man.
Will Superior Equip Mechanical Arms?
@14NC3: He is Otto, even if he says the opposite. I think that if Marvel wants to show him losing it due to Blue Peter's efforts (consciousness, spectre, ghost, whatever...) to regain his body, it would be a good idea.
@14NC3: Actually, that's what I meant, when I said he's Otto. That deep down his character remains the same, meaning he's not a good person, a real hero. He's pretending or something like that.
Well, the solicits for Superior Spider-Man #7 and #8 suggest that the jig is up and that Octo-Pete will have to fight for control with Peter Parker. Therefore, I think it would be really cool if he used his arms then. Anytime before that would be too compromising to his true identity (even if the real Peter used them briefly once before.)
Here are the solicits by the way:
SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #7 NOW
(W) Dan Slott (A/CA) Humberto Ramos
“Troubled Mind” Part 1
• An Avenger no more?
• With the public at large realizing this is no longer a “Friendly Neighborhood” Spider-Man, and in light of his actions in recent events, will the Avengers kick Spidey off the team? Plus the return of Cardiac!
• And a new development for a Spider-Man who hasn’t been seen for some time. And by time, we mean centuries.
• The lead up to the Spider-Event of the Summer STARTS HERE!
SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #8 NOW
(W) Dan Slott (A/CA) Humberto Ramos
“Troubled Mind” Part 2
• Peter Parker takes a stand!
• With a villain acting like a hero and a hero acting like a villain, one man has decided that enough is enough!
• More with Cardiac! More surprises! And a moment that will break a lot of hearts!
• To save the life of one of Spider-Man’s enemies, Peter Parker fights to regain control of his body, his mind, and his destiny!
• Is this the beginning of the end for Otto Octavius?

if this happens then marvel is officially the stupidest and fucked up company in the world
And yet they are still outselling every other comicbook company :)

What ever happened to his Ironspider Suit? What if he modified the rear arms to 4 instead of 3? It would be subtle, but still suspicious, but he could cover it up by the fact spiders have 8 legs and say it just feels more natural. But since he would not wear it all the time it would not be an issue, but peter would think of it every time he saw the suit.
Also there was a version of spiderman with the arms
Maybe, if they did I'm sure it would be for a reason to fight a bad guy, the arms could lift around 8 tons so, with superior not holding back, I'm sure he would be able to lift 18tons (19 at peak). It would be kind of cool, but I wouldn't want it here for long probably only for a story arc and back to using his normal gadgets.

It's currently being used by the last of the MVP clones...I think it's Michael....and it was already modified to have four arms when the MVP clones started using the suit

That would never happen.
He is a spider, so it would make sense. If there is one shining light about this monstrosity of an idea, it would be giving Spidey some awesome metallic tentacles...:-)
Heh, it would kind of become a noticeable factor in determining Spider-Man's altered nature wouldn't you think?
Don't give Marvel ideas.
