I picked up a lot of comics from ebay and was excited to find this issue in the mix. I do like Spider-man and read this one first from the lot. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. I just didn't feel there was much of a story here. It's all... Doom, doom, doom, doom, doom... a little bit of action... then Peter and Mary Jane hanging out. A Lot Of Hype, But Little Substance 0
The cover of Spider-Man number one draws you in with that fantastic artwork by Todd McFarlane, and gets you excited for the opportunity to be part of an all new series based on Spider-Man from the first installment. Unfortunately, the substance within these pages doesn't deliver. With minimal story, it's certainly no contender for "Best Spidey Adventure".
