Spider-Girl and Spider-Man teamup
Synopsis: Spider-Man joins Spider-Girl in taking on the Raven organization.
What's Good?
Don't be fooled by the cover of Spider-Girl and Screwball. That is not what this issue is about (Screwball is not even in this issue). It's rare that these two characters, Spider-Girl and Spider-Man not interacting more often after all, Spider-Man's been teaming up with a lot of people lately. If anything this issue accomplish, is that it brings us closer towards Spider-Girl and Raven with big prices at stake.
What's Bad?
American ninjas? Really? I know Spider-Man fought some crazy villains during younger days (and presently), but there's no need for Anya to go that route. It's so bizarre that it hardly makes any sense. There were also a few pages that left me dumbfounded like when Spider-man was helping the scientist figure a equation. The jokes are also offbeat, which is weird considering that these two have a nice chemistry together in previous encounters. Speaking of which, it's like Spider-Girl and Spider-Man's personalities were switched most of the time throughout this issue.
The artwork by Clayton Henry and Sergio Cariello is pretty average. The problem is that I know the artwork can be better and what hurts those chances towards being better is another artist.
Overall: There's only one issue left unfortunately, and it's quite a shame really. At least I got to see a team up with Spider-Man and Spider-girl before this series ended, but it could have been a lot better.
