A glowing meteorite approaches the earth's atmosphere leaving consequences on two women , one of which dies . Nathan Never gets a strange visit from the Shadow M en after a night of nightmares . The two events , seemingly unrelated , will join 5,000 meters below the sea surface : on an undersea platform leaded by Mary Mather , a former shuttle pilot , is hiding a terrorist and Nathan 's mission is to stop him .
