& why? 

Anyone else find it suspicious that when Al Simmons tried to remake his human form, wayyyy back in the first couple of issues of Spawn, that he ended up as a white guy? And called himself Jim Downing? And looked exactly alike to the Jim in the book now?
 
Yeah, methinks this guy is just a fragment of Al somehow. Or maybe I'm totally off and it was just an "homage" or inside joke.

i thought when al turned it  a white guy in the first issue i thought it was funny cause he was like i can't look like me lol.

I have attachments to Al. being he is the Spawn i grew up with. But I also like Jim. it's a tough decision. I really like Jim in Image United.

I think I'm liking Jim more than Al. Al was cool because it was like "Oh yeah, I'm tough, don't mess with my homies, an' forget everything else." But Jim seems to have more drive for good story to unfold. Yeah, Jim's the better character. It took Al a while to grow up, an' I love how he ended up, but I also love that he passed the mantle to someone who's probably better, or at least gonna be better than him.

And of all things he had 2 go out with suicide? He just gave-up just like dat.....we have der were still tons of stories dey could tell with him.

Even if Simmons were no longer 2 b Spawn, couldnt dey make a series following Simmons adventures, trials, tortures, victories, glory & losses & so on in d after-life. Der r still severl worlds/dimensions or types of different hells & heavens & purgatories & alternate &/or parrallel &/or future universes/worlds he could have gone 2.

Anyways @ least Jim is more 'relatable'  by d larger reader demografic no wonda dey r already saying Jim is betta after so lil is known about him & even less of wat he has done so far. A Black President doesnt change anything much now does it.........'Americans'?

I prefer Bucky than Rogers. Rogers is cool though.

I prefer Jamie over Kord.

I'm not a fan of Firestorm but I put YEs just for the Hell of it.

I know I may be in the majority on all of these but that is how I honestly feel.
